Energy Follows Thought

What You Appreciate You Attract

What You Appreciate You Attract

Read What You Appreciate You Attract, a Wisdom Wednesday blog post by Genevieve Gerard

There are in the world certain principles or laws that you can utilize to empower your life and bring into manifestation the fulfillment of your goals and objectives. One of these is known as The Law of Attraction. Many have taught about it.

Teaching the primary principles of The Law of Attraction is what the famous book by Napoleon Hill was all about. His book “Think and Grow Rich” was a bridge between business thinking and consciousness. Since the 1930s when he first published this book and the principles outlined in it, it has been the key to success in many lives. Reading this book had a profound impact on my life and my understanding of life. I suggest you take the time to read it.

One essential element in the Law of Attraction is appreciation. What you appreciate you attract. Appreciation and gratitude signal your mind that this is something good, this is something you want, this is something that you desire. Therefore, the act of conscious appreciation works as a powerful magnet to bring to you more of what you enjoy.

Be thankful for what you have; you’ll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don’t have, you will never ever have enough.
      – Oprah Winfrey

In the simple act of appreciation is the activation of not only the Law of Attraction but also the dynamic potential of the principle that “energy follows thought.” These two dynamic rules, when working in concert, influence your life in amazing ways.

Your thoughts are powerful things. It is through your thoughts that you enter into your co-creator role with the Divine to manifest in your life. It is the meaning of the biblical passage “As a man thinkith, so shall he be.” Wise men and sages throughout time have taught these truths. They are not new. And, just as they have throughout time, they still work.

The challenge for many of you it to halt the negative self-talk of the monkey mind and not dwell upon the fears that you can generate faster than lightning to utilize and activate these “power of positive thinking” thoughts. Gratitude and appreciation can focus you mind toward the positive principles by their expression.

The advantage of expressing your appreciation and gratitude is twofold. Not only does it positively focus the attention of your mind on what you have liked and enjoyed, it makes the person to whom you are expressing gratitude to feel good and feel appreciated. So appreciation is not only a key element in making your life better, making your life manifest more of what you want and desire, but it is also a key element in right human relationships.

As I say this, however, there is a factor that I think is very important. The gratitude that I am recommending expressing needs to be real and heartfelt. The perfunctory of “good manners” expressions of gratitude do not have the power or the potential of what I am saying.

The world is full of people who are judgmental scorekeepers in their interpersonal relations. Making gratitude and appreciation further grist in their mill is working against the laws and principles of which I speak. Your mind is not fooled by a demanded or manners expression of gratitude. Your mind knows when you are expressing real appreciation and sincere gratitude and that is what will activate the underlying laws.

With gratitude and appreciation especially because of their dynamic influence on manifesting in your life, I suggest that you find the place within yourself where you truly feel gratitude and appreciation. It is in that spontaneous out flowing of joy where the magic and wisdom resides.

Your appreciation and your gratitude can be activated and expressed for a myriad of blessings and benefits. Each time you discover something you are truly grateful for you are actively working to empower your life with greater success and more joy.

What is interesting to understand is these principles are at work whether you use them consciously and with intention or not. Universal laws are not personal, they are just the rules. You can however, use them for accomplishing your goals and to manifest the life that you desire.

Approaching life with an attitude of gratitude is a way to dispel the darkness in your life with the light of joy.
      – Genevieve Gerard

Approaching life with “an attitude of gratitude” has far reaching implications. When your mind and your heart are brimming with appreciation there is less room for fear or negative self-talk. As the darkness is dispelled by the light, these positive expressions diminish the fear. It is one of the many examples in life that by giving we are twice blessed, the one who gives and the one who receives.

Consider building into your life focusing your attention upon what you like, and then observe the results that just this shift in attention can create. It is a simple adjustment that can result in amazing transformation in your life, in your relationships and in what you experience.

You have nothing to lose and much that can be gained.

Namaste,

New Color of Promise

New Color of Promise

Color of Promise blog post by Genevieve Gerard

The unique tone of pink that comes with the dawn always gives me hope and promise. It always makes me smile.

For me, the color of dawn, the way the light of the rising sun merges and mingles with the emerging blues of morning as gray is chased away, is one of the purest joys in life.

The colors of the dawn seem to come with the assurance that there are new possibilities available. All that I have known to be a problem or a pain can fade away with the emerging of the light of a new day. It reminds me of the truth of the old saying “today is the first day of the rest of your life.”

To me the dawn comes embedded with the promise that new possibilities are available today. It is a reminder that the past is past. What may come into being with the emerging of the new day is really unknown. It is a part of the magic of life and the mystery of life that change is always happening. Change is a constant in a life experience that may seem to have no consistency.

This is one of the most amazing things about life, and at times the most terrifying. That change can bring into manifestation the fulfillment of our deepest desires, and at the same time create the circumstances of our greatest fears is an element of the adventure of the experience of living. What has been before, is not a guarantee for what is now emerging. This is as equally true for our desires and our fears. Change is the one constancy in life. We can embrace it or we can flee from it, but no matter what we do, we cannot change that.

The chance that change will be positive and move my life forward to the manifestation of my goals and desires is at least equal to the chance of something I do desire not unfolding.
        – Genevieve Gerard

I choose hope with the emergence of the day. I see the possibility that the life experiences that will unfold in the emerging day will be wonderful. The chance that change will be positive and move my life forward to the manifestation of my goals and desires is at least equal to the chance of something I do desire not unfolding. However, when you add to the mix the powerful principle of life that energy follows thought, it seems the odds tip in the favor of the new day bringing the fulfillment of my dreams.

No matter what happens in the circumstances of the unfolding day, holding hope in my heart has not only empowered the subtle influence of the universal law of energy following thought to work in my favor, it has removed the temptation of worry and fear. Likewise, holding hope and trusting in life, not only reduces the experience of fear, but it also reduces stress and anxiety.

Since none of us knows what will happen in the future, remaining in the present with the promise and potentiality of the new day, leaves me strong so if the winds of change blow ill for my life, I have the strength and energy to cope and deal with events, but need only to deal with something once it has really happened. “Sufficient for the day are the challenges I face today.” This is a choice I make about how to live my life. It is a decision that I make when the dawns early light emerges from the shadows of the night. I choose hope. I choose faith that great good is coming to me. What do you choose?

To empower and enhance this hope, I often use affirmations. I find that affirmations activate a sense of my identity about what I aspire to be. We each make these choices about what we think, what we consider, what we believe, often without intention or focus.

For me, the pink of the dawn is a reminder to choose hope and believe in the unlimited possibilities of time unfolding, which will bring great blessings and new opportunities to fulfill your life’s purpose and manifest what you desire.

Hope can spring eternal in your heart and it can be renewed with each dawn as you affirm in the morning’s light, that this new day holds the potential for the very best of change in your life.

Words Have Power

Words Have Power

Read Words Have Power Wisdom Wednesday post by Genevieve Gerard

A word, once spoken can never be recalled. The good that you can do with just a word or the harm that you can do with just one word is legendary.

Have you ever said something just to feel like you put your foot in your mouth? Of course, you have. We all have. But once the word is spoken, it cannot really ever be retracted. We can of course apologize. We can try to clarify or explain. But once the word has been spoken the energy it creates for good or ill is a tangible force.

I once read that a word is like a living organism, capable of growing, changing, spreading, and influencing the world in many ways, directly and indirectly through others.

To understand this important principle we need to understand that in a word is great power. The power in a word is a building block to creating the reality that surrounds us. Remember in the creation story of Genesis, creation manifested according to each word of God’s intention, the most famous words “Let there be Light” was followed by Light manifesting from nothingness.

Speak clearly, if you speak at all; carve every word before you let it fall.
          – Oliver Wendell Holmes

How Words Impact

It is important to consider two very important principles.

  1. First is that Energy Follows Thought, so even before the word is spoken the energetic flow is empowered by the thought. This can be shown by the Japanese scientist and water researcher Dr. Masaru Emoto who has revealed that thoughts and vibrations affect the molecular structure of water. Just think, since a human body contains 70% water, how it can have a strong impact on human consciousness.
  2. Second is the principle of harmlessness. In what you say and in what you do it is always important to consider the impact your words can have on others. What you say can have a major impact on the one with whom you are speaking.

All too often, we speak without thought, without considering the impact or influence our words can have. Even if you are alone, and you are the only one who hears, the intermingling of words and thoughts create your reality or influence your perception. Part of becoming a more conscious being includes taking responsibility for yourself on many levels, thoughts, words, and deeds.

Part of realizing the power that words possess is taking responsibility for the words that come forth from our mouths.
          – Genevieve Gerard

By considering the important desire to live and act with harmlessness by looking to the words that you choose and use to express both your thoughts and your feelings, is a wise and powerful tool to transform your life and your relationships. Ultimately, you need to consider before you speak the impact your words may have on others, and you need to consider the impact your self-talk has on your own life.

When you get ready to speak, think:

Is it true? Is it kind? Will it help or cause harm?

If you apply this filter to your words and consider each word you speak in light of the principles of harmless you will find your relationships transform. If you then apply the same filter to your thoughts about yourself you will transform your life.

Words have power, thoughts have power. Words have the power to incite and divide or to calm and connect. These influence your life all the time whether you are conscious of it or not so by bringing these principles to your conscious mind, invoking your will and intention to wield these tools with wisdom and compassion gives you a potent force for success in life on multiple levels. By becoming aware of the consequences of your speech, and making a conscious attempt to engage in Right Speech, you are harnessing a mighty force to influence your life.

Living consciously, observing and accepting responsibility for your words and the influences they have is one of the steps to wisdom. One advantage of observing your speech is that in so doing you are also observing your thoughts. By harnessing these two dynamic forces in life to make them work for you, you are empowering your life in a way that strengthens and supports your relationships with others but also increases your potential for success.

Finally, I leave you with these words because the intention to speak consciously and think consciously puts me in mind of a blessing may the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Thy sight.

Ponder on this.

The Blessing of Love on all that you do!

Namaste,

   Genevieve

Light of the Dawn

Light of the Dawn

Light of the Dawn | Genevieve Gerard
As the last breath of darkness surrenders to the Light of the dawn, I am reminded that the Light has the power over the dark

As a single candle can dispel the darkness, positive thoughts in our mind can dispel the fears that try to hold us captive

Each time we assert our dominion over the tyranny of fear we strengthen the Divine Light within us.  And as surely as the Sun chases the night from the sky, so our affirming and embracing positive thoughts activates the law of the universe that energy follows thought, which places the power for our life firmly in our hands.

Mindfulness

Mindfulness and
Meditations For Daily Joy

-Taking Mindfulness
to the Soul Level

by Douglas Russell, M.S.W.

Mindfulness meditation and Genevieve Gerard’s work have a lot in common. I know this from personal experience. I began meditating regularly in the late 1960’s. At the time, I was studying spiritual philosophies and transpersonal psychology. I was also learning traditional psychotherapy in graduate school. My meditation practice began with the same steps presented in the Meditations for Daily Joy: first getting centered by relaxing my body and calming my feelings and thoughts, then opening my heart and visualizing a brilliant point of light over my head as a symbol of my soul. I was learning that variations of these techniques had been passed down through generations of spiritual teachers in the East over thousands of years.

When I started exploring mindfulness in the 1990’s, it was also described as evolving from those ancient Eastern traditions, but it wasn’t connected directly to spirituality or the soul. It was popularized in the U.S. through the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Program at the University of Massachusetts, founded by a man with a Ph.D. in molecular biology, Jon Kabat-Zinn. The basic technique is to sit or lie down, and simply pay attention to your breath or your body sensations. Anytime the mind starts to wander, bring it back over and over to these sensations in the present moment: breathing awareness, and the five senses.

Over the past 30 years, mindfulness has proved to be very effective–not only for stress management, but for coping with chronic pain, depression and addiction, and for improving relationships. In medicine and psychology, mindfulness is still presented as secular: it works just as well for people who are not religious as for those who have strong spiritual beliefs. It seems so different from Touch of the Soul, which is clearly the work of a spiritual teacher who has combined a variety of techniques to guide people toward the experience of higher consciousness. Let’s look at what mindfulness is, then I’ll describe how mindfulness and Touch of the Soul meet and blend so well, as Genevieve Gerard takes us beyond today’s mindfulness practices into the experience of spirituality.

Mindfulness has been explored in great detail by researchers, physicians, psychologists, and religious leaders. Through the myriad of workshops, writings, CD’s, DVD’s and websites, four basic aspects of mindfulness meditation come up over and over again:

1. Being in the present moment. Often our body is in one place but our mind is somewhere else: we’re thinking about the past (would-a, could-a, should-a), concerned about the future, or wanting things to be different from the way they are. But the body can’t travel to the past or future: it’s living only in the present. When you are mindful of your breathing, or what you are seeing or hearing, your attention shifts from your thoughts to your immediate experience. It is only when you are fully aware in the here and now, that you truly experience your life.

2. Doing one thing at a time and knowing that you’re doing it. Modern life often requires that we think, plan, and move rapidly among many activities. There’s nothing wrong with multi-tasking, but it’s not mindfulness. To be mindful is to take a break from all that movement of body and mind, and focus on just one thing–like the sensations in your feet while walking, or experiencing the pleasure of taking one bite of your favorite food while giving your full attention to smelling, tasting and chewing it.

3. Using in-tention to focus at-tention. If your intention is to sit down and enjoy a good meal, your best chance at success is to keep your attention on eating without the distraction of watching TV or reading or constant conversation. Mindfulness involves learning to stay with your intention: you choose to focus on breathing, and every time you notice your attention has moved to something else, you gently return your focus to breathing awareness. During meditation the mind will surely wander. Your body might capture your attention with feelings of fatigue or pain. Sounds in the environment might disturb your concentration. Any number of things could take your attention away from your breathing; but to be mindful is to stay with your purpose regardless of any such distractions. People from all walks of life find that mindfulness meditation helps with productivity and achieving goals. It’s training yourself to stay focused on what you’re intending to do.

4. Practicing meditation regularly. Mindfulness is a skill that improves with consistent practice. The direct experience and insights this meditation provides are called wisdom-based learning, as contrasted with fact-based learning that comes from a teacher or a book. Taking classes or reading about meditation is useful, but it isn’t mindfulness. When you have practiced day-after-day, returning to a calm center of awareness every time there’s a distraction, eventually you can hold onto that state of mind even when facing life’s trials and tribulations. Beginners in meditation may sense a calm and centered state of consciousness only for brief moments, but with continued practice it becomes a habit, a way of life. In mindfulness terms, “states become traits.”

Genevieve Gerard’s teachings on transformational consciousness point toward many levels of mindful awareness and beyond. She sees centering as a stepping stone to higher states of mind which eventually lead to being in touch with your soul and living a life full of love, creativity and joy.”
    – Doug Russell

The many facets of mindfulness boil down to this: centering comes about by paying attention to the body and the five senses rather than getting caught up in negative thinking or worrying. We can learn to experience life’s challenges and hardships from a center of calm and kindly awareness. Genevieve Gerard’s teachings on transformational consciousness point toward many levels of mindful awareness and beyond. She sees centering as a stepping stone to higher states of mind which eventually lead to being in touch with your soul and living a life full of love, creativity and joy. Her methods include affirmations–focusing on carefully-chosen positive words and thoughts–plus sensory awareness, and use of the creative imagination, visualizing images, symbols, colors, and energy flows.

Here’s how I see the four basic aspects of mindfulness in light of
Genevieve Gerard’s teachings:

1. In the present moment, I know that I am between heaven and earth,
and I am not alone.

Prepare to meditate by focusing on breathing awareness and inviting your body to relax. You surrender your weight to the pull of gravity, acknowledging that you are being supported by the earth. Continue this move into your centered self by inviting your mind to become calm and your heart to open. As this inner observer you can affirm that you are more than any particular body sensation or feeling or thought that you have. You then sense or imagine your higher self as a point of light above your head shining like the sun. This whole process is an acknowledgment that your life in the here and now exists literally between heaven and earth. You are opening your mind to the recognition that you are much more than your earthly existence–that you are a spiritual being.

The next step in meditation could involve focusing your attention on positive thoughts and energies, or on the highest human qualities such as forgiveness or love. In reality, such qualities are often experienced in relationship to others. Your daily life involves contacts with people close to you and with strangers. Even if you are meditating alone, you know that in the here and now, there are many other people going about their lives as you focus on yours. Any meditation technique that promotes personal well-being can be extended for the well-being of others. Start with “joy to myself;” proceed with “joy to the world.” As you continue this practice, you will notice the rising quality of your relationships and the sense of being connected to all of life.

2. My mind can sense and know many things at one time.

Mindfulness emphasizes the physical senses for experiencing the here and now, but there is an acknowledgment of the mind as a sixth sense. The brain interprets what our eyes and ears register in the physical world, while the mind has its own perceptions that are meta-physical. It may be true that the verbal concrete mind does one thing at a time, like looking at a rainbow and naming each color, deliberately focusing your eyes on one color, then the next and the next. But suppose you center yourself, and look at the rainbow as a whole, softening your eyes, perceiving all the colors at once, without labeling them. This is an example of using the abstract mind–the perspective of higher consciousness.

Genevieve Gerard shows us how we can learn through meditation to apply this broader perspective in everyday life. Suppose you go for a walk and as you take a single step you pay attention to the sensation of your foot touching the ground, then build awareness: also notice that you are breathing in, that you are seeing the beautiful colors of flowers, and you are exchanging warm greetings with people you walk by. Suppose you start to eat an egg, and as you bring that first bite toward your mouth, seeing and smelling it, feeling your mouth watering, you pause to reflect on this moment as the culmination of the past, and containing seeds of the future. The egg came from a chicken, was gathered and packaged by ranch hands, taken to market by a truck driver, and placed on display and sold by workers in the market before you bought it and brought it home. After you eat it, it will provide your body the energy it needs as you move through the rest of your day.

3. My intention is to focus on the images, qualities, and thoughts that are pathways to higher consciousness.

As you continue to develop your meditation skills, you can expand the scope and variety of your intentions. To some degree, the chattering mind will continue to disturb your concentration, but you will eventually find that you can return to center more quickly and easily than you could at the beginning. In effect, you’re developing your will, your power of choice. As you choose to give more attention to the image of the radiant light above your head, that alone engenders some of the highest qualities. It’s like sitting in the sunlight on a pleasant day. The sun’s warmth brings a feeling of being nurtured and loved. The sun’s light brings a sense of mental clarity and light-heartedness. It is the opposite of darkness, which symbolizes ignorance, depression or fear.

Subjects for meditation besides the breath could be a single word, a positive phrase or sentence, or a sequence of several steps. A meditation on the word “gratitude” is like holding a precious stone in your hand, looking carefully at all its various facets. You may begin to feel gratitude for each of your loved ones, for anything in your life that you enjoy, for your accomplishments, for the daily moments of noticing that which is good, beautiful, or fulfilling. Expand this idea by meditating on a phrase or sentence from the Affirmations for Abundance, which are positive thoughts that can bring your mind and your life into states of inspiration, celebration, joy, prosperity. Or meditate on a series of steps, beginning with “calm your mind, open your heart, invite the light;” continue by lighting a candle, and as it dispels darkness, hold the thought of faith and hope dispelling fear; then as you get a sense of transcending your own fear, imagine that each moment you focus on the light, it is building and multiplying, and helping to ignite hope for everyone, making the world a better place.

In Genevieve Gerard’s articles and the Meditations for Daily Joy CD’s, you’ll find many examples of going through a set series of steps, on themes ranging from dealing with negative emotions or challenging relationships, to building a broader perspective on everyday experiences like eating, bathing, taking a walk, or traveling. The principle involved here is that energy follows thought: through regular focus on any positive human quality, it eventually becomes a trait–a way of looking at life, a way of experiencing your life that is available throughout each and every day.

4. As I meditate regularly, my soul becomes more familiar to me,
as a part of who I truly am.

The soul is our higher self, that aspect of our identity which has all the highest and best qualities of human nature: unconditional love, wisdom, goodwill, creativity, joy. The soul has a perspective that includes our personal concerns or needs yet goes beyond them. There is a recognition of being part of the larger whole–a sense of the interdependence with other human beings and with all of life. There is a sense that any problems or concerns of the moment can be seen in a new light, free of fear, anxiety or depression.

Among the symbols of the soul to meditate upon are: that brilliant point of light above the head, a wise spiritual guide or master, or an angel. Besides focusing on these during a formal sitting meditation, we can return to these images anytime during the day while involved in other activities. In mindfulness this is called informal practice. In Touch of the Soul work, this is developing a “dual consciousness.” It is applying the principle that energy follows thought. Along with the full awareness of activities and relationships in the physical world, there can be a constant sense of the perspective and influence of the soul–the sense that at each moment, you are a spiritual being, living in the light, with access to the qualities of a higher purpose, love, wisdom, and creativity. Your soul becomes your constant companion on your journey through life.

It Is What It Is

It is What It Is

It Is What It Is

Often when events occur in our life we engage in an intellectual and emotional process of trying to determine whether what is happening is good or bad. Although a habitual response to evaluating our life, this is really a waste of our energy. The reality is that “It Just Is”. Because it is the way things are now, does not mean that it is the way things will always be, but right now, whatever is, it is what it is.

The practice of judging what is or evaluating what is, serves no real purpose in our life.

Visualizing the path from what is happening now to what we desire to see unfold is a better use of our efforts. — Genevieve Gerard

As we have explored in a prior article – Energy Follows Thought and other Energy Follows Thought related posts using the powerful resource of your mind to reinforce that which we determine to be negative just adds power and substance to negativity.

Therefore, acknowledge ‘what is’ as a powerful tool for letting it be in the now, in the moment and free the power of your mind to create with intention what you wish to see different in your life.

Mega Millions Magic

The Mega Millions Magic

Open Yourself To Mega Millions

As the time for the drawing of the largest U.S. 44-State Mega Millions Lotto jackpot in history draws near, there is something magical happening on an energetic level.

The hope that this nationwide event has inspired in the hearts and minds of people has created a tangible energy of openness to possibility, openness to promise.

The vast change that a jackpot of this size would bring to the life of an individual is staggering to imagine.

What seems to be a theme that is running through the minds of people, as I have heard ‘man on the street’ interviews, is the good that could be done with the money.  Just the thoughts of these many people of a better life freed from financial strife, combined with the thoughts of how they could help others, their family, and their friends enrich our life and brings us closer to the promise of hope.

Mega Millions Bringing Joy To Life

Worthy causes, create the healing energy of hope touching the lives of millions of people who are participating in this event.  That hope, that ability to envision a life of abundance is worth the $3 price of admission.

Who knows what new ideas or solutions to life’s difficulty will come from the creative dreams of how my life would be if I won the Mega Millions Jackpot.

So to all who joined this group consciousness of the hope and promise of prosperity I say good luck.  And if the morning after the draw your numbers are not printed on the winning ticket take a moment to review the dreams you dared to dream for some idea you have never had before that could bring you success.

Hope and the unfettered creativity of the human mind are magic.
    – Genevieve Gerard

Open yourself up to the promise of a new day, right here, right now, win or lose, you win.

You may just awaken to success.

You can join your forces with the group influence of those who desire a better world, not just for yourself but every man, woman, and child who walks on Planet Earth.

You can try a little experiment in celebration of the Spring Vernal Equinox which signals the return of the Light.

You can dedicate 3 minutes of your day in which to focus on what your world would be like if everyone, everywhere had enough. Enough clean water to drink, enough food to eat, and enough shelter from the elements, enough abundance to free them from the crippling fear of lack, enough.

As you do this, put away any fear of shortage, recognizing shortage as an illusion that interferes with the free flow of energy from Source to abundance. Discipline your mind to focus on this image, this thought form in faith and trust that energy follows thought. This is a basic tenant of how energy works in the universe. You may not see the results of these 3 minutes of service right away. However, it is not important that you do so.

You may find that to focus your mind for just 3 minutes is harder than you thought it would be, but release any negative thought, release any fear that may cross your mind during this designated 3 minutes.

Return the power of your mind to the vision of a world of abundance.”
        – Genevieve Gerard

Let this work in the Light and celebration of the Light, be a work of service. Then trust and know that the energy of Grace and Love will flow forth from you into the world. As you send forth the healing power and transforming Light to help the world and heal the world with Will and Intention affirm your connection to your Soul and see this work as not just an act of your Will and decision of your personality, but an act of Soul-Personality integration and fusion.

Last, detach yourself from any desire of any specific results beyond the vision created. Then express your gratitude, that the laws of the universe around the workings of energy will work to bring into manifestation the service you have done today.

Namaste and Happy Spring Vernal Equinox Celebration

P.S. On Sunday, March 20th, 2016 in the United States, the vernal equinox silently arrived, signaling the start of spring. The vernal equinox is one of two times during the year when the length of day and night are almost equal (as depicted in the photo above.) Vernal means “of spring” and equinox means “equal night.”

Another World Is Possible

Another World is Possible

new possibilities with light rising over energy grid covered earth

This morning as I looked at the videos on YouTube that were highlighted on Facebook I was moved by the slogan “Another World is Possible.”

The truth and power of those words moved me to hope and a sense of promise.

Another World is Possible and as we look around our world, the emergence of the spirit of the urge to bring about a positive change cannot be denied.

It emerges from a wellspring of a deep understanding that we have strayed off of the path of right action and right relationships, but that as a group collective of consciousness we have within us the power to transform the world to a better world for all.

The evil of greed that has wormed its way into our world, disguising itself as business and commerce, will not continue to be accepted by the people. The abuses of power that have become all to commonplace are being unveiled.

The ancient wisdom speaks of humanity “renting” the veil of materialism. This is an important step in the evolution of the planet as we move forward into the new world, the new age of man.

This clarion call “Another World is Possible” is a first step to the manifesting of a better world. As I write, often of the concept “energy follows thought,” it is important that we focus our thoughts on using this powerful upswell of the unified human spirit to see that “A Better World is Possible.” A world guided by principles of Right Action, Right Speech, Right Human Relationships, and Right Management of our Earths Resources.

Deep within us all we have a sense of what those principles are, a moral sense that comes from our inner guidance of knowing right from wrong. Evil can hide from view and disguise itself for a while, but it eventually is revealed as what it is. We can all, within ten minutes, list a litany of the injustices that have seeped into our world through the evil of greed disguising itself as business.

As the light of our consciousness turns to the imbalance that has occurred, the 99% – 1% dynamic that has created this very powerful tipping point, we are compelled to respond to the need to change the world and make the world a better place as our forefathers did when they penned the immortal words “We hold these truths to be self-evident”.

The United States was founded on deep principles of self-evident truths. These truths resonate deeply with many all around the world. Many movements have called this into our consciousness by the call “Another World is Possible” and by logical conclusion “A Better World is Possible.”

Over 100 years ago U.S. President Teddy Roosevelt in his Second Annual Message to the Senate and House of Representatives stated:

Our aim is not to do away with corporations; on the contrary, these big aggregations are an inevitable development of modern industrialism, and the effort to destroy them would be futile unless accomplished in ways that would work the utmost mischief to the entire body politic.

We can do nothing of good in the way of regulating and supervising these corporations until we fix clearly in our minds that we are not attacking the corporations, but endeavoring to do away with any evil in them. We are not hostile to them; we are merely determined that they shall be so handled as to subserve the public good. We draw the line against misconduct, not against wealth.”

Many of the principles of the United States Constitution and Bill of Rights speak out against and warn against the abuses of power that have slowly invaded our world until the imbalance is so obvious that we must as a people re-evaluate and restore the principles that guided the creation of the United States of America.

These ideas are not new. The internet overflows with warnings from the U.S. founding fathers from Jefferson, Franklin, Madison, and Adams that are all relevant to this time.

Another World is Possible. A Better World is Possible and the time to create it is right here and right now. We have that ability, you have that ability.

We need prosperity to blossom for everyone with the seeds of commerce pollinating success and innovation (see my prior article Blossoming Prosperity) and as we face these troubled times we need hope and promise to bring about a new way and a new day (see my prior article Light a Candle For Hope.)

The Autumn Equinox

The Autumn Equinox and the Seasons of Our Life

Ancient Druids, magic and mystery, all seem to accompany thoughts of the equinox or its sister times, the solstice.  Perhaps it is archetypal or an ancient memory of times when our lives were more attuned with nature.  There always seems to be something significant about these passages into the seasons.

Various groups around the world use these ancient demarcations of time to call for people to come together and celebrate through ritual or in some cases meditation.  Any time that groups draw together with the intention of helping others or healing the planet has a positive impact on the world around us.

Since energy follows thought, the conscious intention of men and women of Goodwill throughout the planet unite to focus upon and celebrate our unity in the human family and help us realize how we are more alike than we are different. Realizing our oneness as a part of the human family and our bond as we observe the common changes that manifest in the world around us with the changing of the light helps bring us together.

The changes in the light from the Sun and the changes in the weather demonstrate wisdom about life that influences us on a subtle, preconscious level.  As the leaves begin to change, we can reflect upon the changes in our life and the changes in our self as we journey through life.  Autumn often seems a melancholy time to me as we loose length to our days and find ourselves moving forward into winter.  It is often a bittersweet time of reflection.

To take the time of this ancient ritual to monitor the movement of the Light through our lives by a special focus on the seasons of our life, whether through meditation, writing in our journal or sitting by the fire with a cup of tea or a special friend, the autumnal equinox provides us the opportunity to observe and evaluate our lives in harmony with the movement of the Sun and our Planet.

Enjoy this day and celebrate all that you are becoming and all the ways you are growing as you journey through the adventure of life.

Blossoming Prosperity Paradigm

The Blossoming Prosperity Paradigm

As we have struggled with the fear mongering of the Washington DC pundits, the issues of prosperity, how it works and why it does not seem to work at times has been on minds across the nation and the world.

Fear may be the most limiting aspect of all of the “sky is falling” talk of the past month. To try to dispel the damage being done I wrote the article Light a Candle for Hope article where I included both a free downloadable meditation on Abundance and an Invocation to Magnetic Attraction. These are gifts to enhance prosperity in this important time.

Through this period, I have been meditating and pondering about the issues of both abundance and prosperity. It came to me that part of the problem is the thought forms we as a society are using. As I have written in other articles, a basic life principle is that energy follows thought. That means thoughts have power and when a whole society holds a thought form it can become very powerful.

A thought that many holds (and have been keeping for many years now) have become, in my opinion, a part of the challenge for creating abundance on a global and national scale. That is the belief in what has been called “Trickle Down Economics.” In pondering our nation and the world’s current economic challenges, that theory which many use to justify keeping taxes low on the most affluent seems to be demonstrating a fatal flaw. As I considered this issue in depth, I realized that prosperity does not “Trickle Down,” it Blossoms.

As I began to work with that new thought, I saw a beautiful blossoming garden where every plant was growing healthy and strong as it reached for the light and reached out to touch everything that grew near it. In addition and more importantly, produced seeds that create new flowers and new blossoms around it. As I hold that image in my mind, it seemed to reflect truth.

I am not an economist, but I do understand the basic principles of money circulation in the world and feel that focusing on the image of prosperity blossoming is a powerful metaphor for how abundance and the world of money works. The growth from the touch of the blossoms to others and more importantly the release and planting of new seeds in the garden of life are all a part of an image and thought that can help rebuild prosperity in the world through the energy of creation. The petals from our blossom caress the flowers that are nearby. The pollen from one flower helps the fertilization and pollination of all of the flowers in the garden.

Every flower in the garden is beautiful and has its place in creating the lush abundance and beauty of the garden.

This prosperity blossoms image is very powerful because it contains within it a fundamental principle about abundance. When there are good times, not just for those at the top but for all levels of society is when we see the economy blossom and grow. Entrepreneurship brings new ideas and solutions to society. The seeds of new ideas can be planted and create jobs and opportunity for others, who then as those businesses blossom spark new ideas and new growth, spreading out and increasing as far as our thoughts can imagine.

Jobs and opportunity are the solution to our debt crisis. This is reflected in the old adage, as goes Main Street, so goes Wall Street. The very rich need the prosperity of the less rich to move the wheels of commerce. Job creation rather than resource hoarding is a part of how prosperity can blossom. Rather than waiting for prosperity to trickle down, those who have the resources need to think how they can blossom forth.

It is just a single thought. However, we all know, thoughts are powerful things.

So I suggest as a nation and as a world, we consider changing our thoughts and our paradigm to Prosperity Blossoming so the petals of prosperity and the seeds of growth can reach the fertile fields of creativity and potential.

In the Light,

Genevieve Gerard

Power of Intention

The Power of Intention

Within your mind and within your personal will, lies the power of intention.  Intention is a key to transforming your life.  Most of us have clearly and powerfully expressed a desire, only to find unexpected opportunities open up before us to bring us exactly what we desired.  It may come through an unexpected random meeting with someone.  It could come, as a thought to re-connect with an old friend, who knows a person who has a need for someone to do the exact work you want.  It could manifest as making a “wrong turn” to find a sale, on exactly the item you need but thought out of reach.  The details are unimportant.

What is important is that when these strange events of synchronicity occur in your life, you recognize them as the power of intention at work.  By understanding this power and beginning to harness it, by disciplining your mind to use it to benefit your life and the lives of others, you start to understand a very important life principle that energy follows thought, and “as a man thinketh in his heart, so is he.”
