Ponder on Something

This article is part of my ongoing series on Soul Awareness and Soul Awakening.

In the process of gaining more enlightened awareness, you are likely to encounter many who provide their opinions or their wisdom.

Some of what you are exposed to is wonderful as it grants you an ah-ha moment (sometimes after pondering on its meaning multiple times) that opens your eyes or your heart to something that makes your perception easier or clearer. Unfortunately, some of what you are told is other people’s truth loaded with their fears, their judgments, and are filled with illusion.

As you journey through life’s magnificent adventure it falls to you to choose what you will believe, what teachings you will embrace to guide you.

This choosing is not easy, for you may love and respect the person who espouses rules, guidance, dogma, and doctrine that the still soft whisper of your Soul rejects.

Ultimately, determining what is right, what is the truth, falls to you.

What Does It Mean To Ponder On Something?

You are the one who must choose what will guide your life. I believe, and I have found in the journey of my life that there is within my heart and mind wisdom from my Soul. Whenever I have been presented with teaching that my Soul accepts or rejects, I have used a technique of the Ageless Wisdom by following the guidance to “Ponder On This.”

In my experience, there is within your Soul an arbiter of truth. It is my recommendation that you put every teaching, especially every spiritual teaching to the test of “Pondering.”

The Free Dictionary defines ponder on (something):
“To give great consideration to something;
to ruminate or think about something very deeply.”

In my experience, as one who has journeyed long on the spiritual path, the wisdom of your Soul is available to you whenever you open your heart and your mind to pondering. Your Soul will guide you to the truth and insights about all wisdom or it will warn you if it doesn’t feel right for you at this time in your life.

Ultimately, your relationship with your Soul and your relationship with God (however you define God) is completely personal. I recall the theologian Peter Marshall wrote about this fact, “God has no grandchildren.” Each of us is charged to enter into our own relationship with the Divine, what theologian Marin Buber described as an “I-Thou relationship”.

The faith of your Father and Mother may have guided their path, and it certainly can have nurtured or fashion your own, but ultimately your relationship with the Divine and the relationship with your own Soul is up to you.

Truth always seems to be recognizable by the Soul. That is the derivation of the folk wisdom of the phrase ‘the ring of truth’. I have always, and will always, encourage those who read or hear my words to only accept and incorporate into their own spiritual life that which resonates as truth with you.

Ways To Ponder On Something

The technique of pondering on something presented as a Spiritual truth can be a part of your meditation. It can be the subject of prayer or simply quiet contemplation. I personally encourage the practice of daily meditation.

In setting aside time for reflection, prayer or contemplation you open yourself to a relationship with the Divine and a relationship with your own Soul as the arbiter of truth and a source for life guidance.

You can, of course, meditate anytime and anywhere, but there are some techniques that mediators have found helpful in maintaining the practice of mediation. One such technique is to choose a time of day where you set aside time in your schedule. For me, the first thing in the morning, just after awakening is a favorite. I especially love the time that the light is returning to the sky and the sun is rising. For me, that is a time of great potential and promise so I find it an especially empowered and empowering time in which to meditate.

I also find prayer and mediation just before I go to sleep a powerful way to let go of the stress of the day and surrender to the Divine. My morning meditations and my before surrendering to sleep prayers form Spiritual support to my life enfolding my life.

The approach to meditation is different from your approach to other times and tasks of your day. Meditation is the time to release your ego and invite the Soul perspective. Your Soul perspective is timeless and eternal so it empowers you to be in the present. It gives you the perspective to release attachment and release your fears.

There is a phrase that I use in my personal life and to lead into each and every one of the guided meditations that I offer you. It is:

Calm your mind, open your heart, invite the light.

Of course, calming your mind is important because in meditation you strive to reach the wisdom of your Soul. The ceaseless chattering of your mind interferes with your ability to contemplate, meditate or ponder with its busyness and noise. For many that noise is fueled by fear.

Learning to meditate is the optimum way to transcend, transmute, and transform your life to gain mastery over your fears. Perhaps that is the greatest and most empowering result of meditation.

When I first discovered this technique, I used it constantly. Now, many years later I still use it frequently. Using your Soul connection as a way of living a more free and enlightened perspective is the blessing of meditation that is both life changing and life transforming.

I suggest you “Ponder on this.”

Likewise, meditation opens you to the resource of the wisdom of your Higher Self (your Soul.) This wisdom can be the arbiter of truth and insight that you can make available to yourself when you use the advice to ponder on this (that you will find in my writings and the writings of the Ancient Wisdom.)

Setting aside a special time to meditate, is a way to empower this technique and your life. For some, the ritual of a special place in which to meditate is also helpful. Although neither a special place or a designated time is essential, it is something people have found helpful to encourage and maintain the discipline of the practice of meditation.

I have meditated for over 50 years of my life and can say without any hesitation that it has been the greatest source of strength, peace, and joy in my life. Over the 50 years, I have tried a wide variety of ways in which to meditate and each of them is valuable.

Although over my life the tools and techniques of meditation have changed as my life has changed, the practice of setting aside a special time for connecting with the Divine and my Soul hasn’t changed. Meditation opens the portal and supports both prayer and contemplation enriching my life in ways that bring peace, love, and joy into my life. I encourage you to meditate!

The Three Gifts of the Spirit: Intuition, Empathy, and Telepathy

In your spiritual life, there are three gifts of the Spirit that help you experience the world of your Soul.

These three gifts are parts of your unified self that help you transition your consciousness from the binding limitations of your physical and material nature into the broader and more aware Spiritual nature. Those are the gifts of intuition, empathy, and telepathy that I will briefly discuss today.

Understanding Your Gifts

To fully appreciate and understand these gifts it helps to understand that as a human being you are a miraculous merging of the Divine force of creation, and bringing life and ultimately Love to material form. In order to understand this seeming contradiction, it is valuable to consider that there is more to life than we as living, breathing, and evolving beings know and comprehend.

Being a human is a unique creation, for we are granted many layers and aspects of life that must be merged and integrated to learn and grow. The different aspects of ourselves and our awareness require merging and blending that which is physical and material with that which is energetic and consciousness beyond our physical sensing and perceiving.

That we, as human beings have a physical and material presence is an indisputable fact of life. Yet, much of what we experience in life, especially what makes life worth living is not physical but energetic.

That our physical nature and the physical body is animal, while our consciousness is exploring what is, in essence, spiritual, makes the human adventure challenging. As a physical being, in a physical body, you can feel and experience many different things of a physical nature. Among these are sensations of both pleasure and pain. But, neither the experience of pleasure or pain give life a sense of meaning or purpose. Since the dawn of time, the sense of meaning and purpose is craved by humankind.

Meaning In Life

A sense of meaning and purpose come from the parts of our life and our consciousness that are not physical in nature, but rather energetic and Spiritual. This inherent understanding about life and our dual nature as both physical and Spiritual beings is captured in the realization that “the best things in life are free.” Finding meaning and significance in life quickly take you beyond what is simply physical and material about life. A life over-focused on the pleasures of life, like life over-focused on the pain in life is not fulfilling.

Balance In Life

As a dual being who is both physical and spiritual, balance is essential. Learning to understand and respect the material and animal aspect of your nature is vital. Healthy eating, physical exercise, as well as emotional and mental health are all important aspects of a successful life. So too is Spiritual exercise, meditation, mindfulness, prayer, and contemplation.

Balancing your physical needs with your Spiritual needs is integral to happiness, to be healthy and to being and becoming all you are meant to be. It is a mistake to focus all of your attention in only what is physical. And it is also a mistake to not honor and respect the part of your being that is Spiritual.

For some, or possibly many, the part of your being that is spiritual is more of a mystery. After all, your body can be seen, touched, smelled, heard and even tasted. Your Spirit, your Soul, is not as real to you. That is why you must learn to recognize and appreciate the ways that your Spirit speaks to you.

The Three Gifts of the Spirit

Intuition, Empathy, and Telepathy are gifts of the Spirit and can be as real and recognizable to you as the physical senses, but since they are not physical, they require a different focus and attention. It helps to understand and acknowledge that you are both a physical and a Spiritual being.

You are not just your body, you are not just your emotions or just what you feel. Neither are you just your thoughts or what you are thinking. You are a Soul who uses a body for a span of time, who experiences emotions, who has lofty and inspiring thoughts who is an eternal and timeless being who grows and evolves your consciousness through living and learning and ultimately loving.

Part of the way you grow and learn as a Spiritual being comes through what I call the gifts of the Spirit: Intuition, Empathy, and Telepathy. Developing and using these gifts helps you learn to function as the dual being that you are.

INTUITION

Listening to your intuition requires bringing your logical mind into your higher consciousness or intuitive mind.

Intuition transcends your awareness into a sense that is wider and less linear than logic and reason. At the time it even defies logic and reason, and that is why it is often hard to listen to your intuition.

Having already thought through a situation, and reaching a decision logically, intuition comes, usually at the very last moment when you are about to act, as a warning voice deep inside you.

To choose to act on your intuition instead of relying on your logic is not easy and may be criticized or judged by those around you. It takes both courage and a kind of faith in yourself to listen to your intuition, but in my life, whenever I have ignored it, I realize that I should have listened and paid attention or even acted upon the still small voice of my intuition.

It helps to realize that intuition is a way your Soul communicates with your personality to grant you a larger perspective.

EMPATHY

Empathy is a different Spiritual gift for it involves transcending the sense of separation and separateness that focusing on our individual nature and being engenders.

Empathy attunes you to the pain, problems, and joys of others. Some describe it as so intense that it might cause you pain.

Undeveloped as a Spiritual gift it can cause confusion and dismay if you are unaware that the source of the tension and unease in yourself is what you are actually picking up from another person.

While the purpose of empathy is to tune us into our ultimate Oneness, empathy must be cultivated with awareness and compassion to not be overwhelming.

TELEPATHY

Telepathy, like empathy, grants awareness into the thoughts of another.

Much like empathy tunes you into the emotions of another, telepathy gives a broader glance into the mind and considerations of another.

Telepathy results from a bond of Love that is not bound by attachment, but exists on the Soul Plane. Like intuition, both empathy and telepathy require your consciousness expanding beyond your logical mind.

These three gifts are often revealed and need to be developed in harmony with one another. Most significant is that both empathy and telepathy are often activated by you Loving someone, not in a sticky and attached way, but in a compassionate and aligned way that honors and respects the beloved while striving to support and empower the other.

Loves Role

I have found that while these gifts may tune you into the thoughts, emotions or needs of another person, it is wise to confirm your impressions. You can use these signals to stimulate sending the energies of Light or Love, but you should do it without your own needs, desires or attachments. That is honoring the teaching aspect of these gifts to help you learn how to Love another.

True Love is beyond emotion and beyond your personal needs and desires. Love creates a bond between Souls that is both beyond time and the world of matter. Love is a Spiritual essence that abides in the Spiritual realm.

Learning to Love is where your physical and your Spiritual natures combine to create something that is both real and eternal. Learning to Love is a gift beyond measure, and it is developed and enhanced as you learn to wield the Spiritual gifts of intuition, empathy, and telepathy. I believe these gifts of the Spirit help us learn to Love in that profound eternal way.

Ponder on this: The higher purpose is for you to learn to exercise these gifts of the spirit in order to demonstrate and enhance your Soul-to-Soul connection that Love provides.

There is in a Spiritual Life the question of Free Will.

Free will is a tricky issue that has created questions since the creation of human life.

Free will is a fact of life. It is a fact that you and I must deal with in a myriad of ways, throughout all of our days.

Free Will To Choose Love

When the Creator first breathed the spark of Divine Light into his creation, free will came into the mix.

With the creative power that was granted to humanity came the possibility of mistakes; the possibility of defying God’s will and working either for or against the plan for His creation.

Free will affects the choices you make about what you use the creative power of your mind to manifest in your life. It affects how you respond to emotions you experience in the happening of your life. And, spiritually it ultimately brings you to the choice of whether you are guided by Divine Will or selfish desires.

The questions and choices that free will bring into your life are somewhat relentless. This is especially true when you realize the ongoing challenge of harnessing the creative power of your mind to create what manifests in your life.

Free will is a factor, especially when you must decide how to respond to the actions of others, who are also imbued with free will and may not act in ways you approve or desire.

You might find yourself wondering about the purpose of free will. After all, it takes only a quick look at life to see that people are often greedy.

At times, it’s hard to understand the purpose of free will. The purpose of free will is a question that speaks to the ultimate purpose of life.

Sometimes people make the wrong choices or act in ways that are clearly in conflict with the Law of Love, or even kindness or compassion.

This freedom you have as a human being, the freedom to choose between right and wrong; good and evil; love and selfishness is an ongoing challenge.

I have in my life experiences and through my meditations begun to believe that the ultimate purpose of life is to learn how to love.

Recently, I have realized that the only thing you can create in your life that is eternal is love. The only thing that ultimately lasts are the bonds of love that you create throughout your life adventure.

With each and every experience in your life, you are choosing to either serve love or serve physical matter. In the ancient biblical language, you choose to serve God (whose essence and nature are Love) or manna (the material and temporal world.)

In ancient writings of the Ageless Wisdom, it is taught that matter, which has no love and cannot love, must ultimately be redeemed by love. A human being is the perfect blend of Spirit and matter. That task of redemption falls to humanity by learning to love and then demonstrating love by loving.

To learn to Love as you move through your life is meaningless without free will. To be compelled to Love would have no purpose, no power and most importantly, no joy.

Love is only valid if there is the freedom not to love. In fact, all of the choices that free will grants subscribe meaning and purpose to life.

It is the very opposites, the possibility to choose that makes all your choices have power.

Freedom To Choose Love

What you decide to do; what you choose to think and feel, are all a part of a Cosmic quest that is played out on humanities stage here on planet earth.

Freedom is an essential element in that drama. Freedom and free will are woven into the tapestry of life, your life and the life of every player on the stage with you.

It is this freedom to choose that gives purpose and meaning to the mundane events in life. It is the freedom to choose that determines how your story is written in the Akashic record of karma and consequence. The choice you make today in what you think, what you feel, and what you do are all a part of your creative process as a Child of God who was born in freedom with free will.

That freedom is important for it determines what you create in your life.

This brings us to a crucial question about the times in your life that when you are faced with a choice whether you choose to surrender and align with Divine Will, or whether you will choose only in consideration of your personal ego’s needs.

Invoking Free Will To Choose Love

The other day I was discussing this very issue with a spiritual friend. We were considering the matter of enlisting the help of Angels in life.

Free will enables a human life to choose to align with Divine Will, or not. I believe Angels may only intervene in human life in alignment with Divine Will. So, when you pray to Angels for help, you are automatically surrendering your “little will” to the forces of Love and Light.

For the ego, for your will, this may make it easier to align your will to Divine Will. You can freely invoke the aid and assistance of the Angels in your life as a tool for guiding your consciousness into an alignment of the wisdom of your Soul, and the insight and awareness of what is good and right.

Directing your attention to how to choose love, and teaching you about love is integral to your Soul’s relationship in your life. It is also part and parcel of the way the Angels work with humanity to help manifest God’s overall Plan for the evolution of humankind.

The issue of surrender, either to the Soul, to the Angels or Divine Will is usually not easy for the personal ego. Within the act of surrender is the key to empowerment that can vault your life into success and satisfaction that is beyond happiness. Ponder on this!

Demonstrating Goodwill as A Way to Learn to Love

One of the greatest mysteries in life is the awareness that it is by giving we receive. It is as if God set up a teaching behavioral reward system that can be summarized as “when I do good, I feel good.” We can add to that “when I serve others, I serve myself.”

Goodwill is equated with doing good in the world. For some, it may be easier to think of “goodwill to others” as easier than “love one another.”

So, like enlisting and petitioning the Angels for help may be an easier way for the ego and personal will to align with Divine Will, so may practicing goodwill be an easier way of learning to love. It is certainly simpler to do good than to demonstrate love.

When I do good, I feel good.
When I do bad, I feel bad. That’s my religion.

No matter how lost in the illusions of separateness and selfishness you may be, your heart and your Soul long to love and be loved. Your Soul knows the truth about life and your heart wants to express love. Free will can disrupt that expression, but the will to love is an active force.

Free will is still subject to the underlying principle in life that “in all things, God works for good.” The very fact that “God is Love” (Jesus Christ 1 John 4:8) reveals the promise that “Love Wins.”

You can take comfort in that hope, for it is not possible to create anything that is not created out of the essence of the Creator. All the way down to the most material and base nature of your being, you are created with love because you were created by Love.

Love is ultimately built into your heart, your mind, and your Soul. No matter what mistakes you make with your choices in life, learning to love is the ultimate outcome. That is the safety mechanism within which free will resides.

Of course, you have more happiness and joy when you choose to love. To not choose love is its own punishment for it deprives you of the joys and blessing life is constantly offering you.

Knowing this, I suggest with kindness and compassion that for your life, you choose Love.

The Joy of Morning Promises New Possibilities

This post is part of my on-going series on Awareness & Being In The Now.

As long as I live, no matter how old I get, morning brings me joy.

As the darkness surrenders to the Light, I am assured that all that happened in the past, is past.

I am promised that this new day that is just beginning to unfold before me has never been before. Anything is possible. Everything can change.

Hope and possibilities charge my imagination. Miracles are available to me. Destiny is available to me.

I am unlimited and now free to do things differently. I can right old wrongs. I can forgive others. I can be forgiven. Nothing limits me as the Light conquers the darkness, hope is in my heart.

Nothing is impossible today.

What will happen is a mystery pregnant with potential. My creativity is charged from a fountain of new solutions. Thoughts that I have never thought before are now available to me. Dreams I have never dreamed before can emerge onto the blank canvas of this new day that is opening to me, for me.

There is comfort in knowing this day has never been before. There are release and freedom in knowing that nothing I think or choose to do is captured or confined by what I have considered or done before this day.

The mystery of this new day is magical. It is empowering and inspiring. As the Sun moves to chase the moon away, my heart opens to the Light.

Today is a precious gift that I treasure. It has never been before, and it shall not come again. I must seize it and wrestle from it all the gifts today brings into manifestation.

It is only one day, but it is my day because it is today. I have been blessed with the breath that sustains life. I have been blessed with the eyes to see the Sun be victorious.

My life adventure opens new doors. I can meet people I have never met before. I can find Love I have never known before. I can find an inspiration that can change the world. I am unlimited and unfettered as this new creation of life is revealed in the Light of this day.

What thought will I think that I have never thought of before? What idea will I have that I have never had before? What solution will I find to problems that have plagued me?

All is new and available to me with the emerging of a new day. The promise of new possibilities is the inescapable reality of right now, today.

As I meditate on this miracle, I pause to consider my many blessings. Gratitude fills my heart.

I let myself appreciate the little things. The air that is abundantly available for me, on-demand, and at my need is a gift I use, often without thought. Yet, if I pause and consider it reminds me that what I need to sustain my life is freely given and available for me. I need to only use what is freely given to claim it.

In my breath is also a reminder that life is a constant flow of taking in and using what I need, and letting go of and releasing what is no longer needed. I cannot only take in, but I must also release and let go. This ebb and flow is so simple, yet I realize that I sometimes let my fears of shortage and lack cause me to be greedy and hoard.

With gratitude, I look around and consider what other life lessons have my busyness made me oblivious to. As I sit within the calm empowerment of the morning, I become aware of gravity. Gravity is something that I seldom consider and yet it is a blessing and a gift that the world provides to me for free. It is something I can surrender into to relax. As long as I obey some simple rules about it, gravity supports and sustains me freely, easily, naturally. Gravity, like breath, gives in perfect measure exactly what I need, exactly when I need it.

I consider the life lessons that breath and gravity grant me as the Sun assumes accession. I am grateful that the dawn reminds me that everything is possible. Nothing is impossible.

I take a pause for a moment to appreciate and consider those blessings I may have taken for granted.

I invite you to look around your life and notice the blessings and bounty you have that may have escaped your notice. They may normally be too small or insignificant to notice. Take a few moments to pay attention and consider what little blessings you may find.

You might notice as you do this hope comes into your heart. Your mind is ignited by the possibility. This whole day is available to you for celebration and appreciation.

In gratitude, you are able to put your burdens down. With gratitude, you can focus on what you have. You may be surprised by what you notice you already have of what you need. You may realize that what is easily available to you right now, in the hope and promise of the morning is enough for today.

If that is true for you let go your constant striving and let yourself relax. Let yourself just be. Be calm and at peace. Trust that the lesson of your breath (that what you need is exactly available in the amount that you need it) is true for all of your life.

As you take the time to appreciate what you have, you may realize that you have much more than you need. You may realize it is time to release what you no longer need or what no longer serves you. Let the joy of appreciating your abundance fill you. Let your gratitude fill you and flow from you as you start this new day.

This is the day the Lord has made;
We will rejoice and be glad in it.

Let the Healing Touch of A Comforting Angel Embrace You

This article is part of my ongoing series on Angels.

In times of great sorrow and despair, a special Angel is called upon from the Heavenly Hosts. She is the comforter.

She responds as an emissary of the Divine to dispense hope and provide comfort.

People most often experience her healing Presence in response to the loss of a loved one through death. Your very human pain of loss brings forth her expression of Divine Love to lend strength to a human being who may be in danger of being trapped in despair.

The stories you hear of those who have experienced her healing embrace are often those who have suffered the death of a child or a parent or may have been confronted by the unexpected death of a loved one. In these life situations, mourning and pain may seem more than can be born.

Special Angels whose dedication to helping humanity through these difficult times are especially aware of the human emotions that lead away from being aware of Divine Love.

Knowingly being reminded of Divine Love can provide comfort and grace. Angels understand the anger, the rage, and pain that must be worked through in the human experience.

Comforting Angels offer, through their essential nature as Divine Love, a glimpse into awareness of the eternal quality of life and the eternal nature of a perspective that can help you transcend the suffering of the loss by awareness of the deep truths as they move into your consciousness even in the midst of your pain.

Those who have been ministered to by a comforting Angel have often described it as being wrapped in a cocoon of Love that feels tangible. Somehow, mysteriously in the midst of their deepest pain, they feel loved, supported and connected to life in a way that strengths them.

The experience is fleeting. It often is wondered about because it can be hard from the limitations of our human perspective to understand how such a deep and profound love can enfold them in the midst of their sorrow and loss. The blessing of this Angelic touch is so different from the other moments of mourning the loss of a loved one that it remains burned in the heart as a mystery.

The ridged instance of defining reality to the confines of what can be experienced with the 5 senses may leave you unable to even believe what occurred. Although the touch of a comforting Angel is so profound that it may be pondered in the heart throughout the rest of your life, it is not of the material world but instead of the crossing of the spiritual world. It may well be dismissed as imagination.

As humanity evolves into the next stage and next age of understanding, more and more stories are shared of those whose lives were touched by an Angel. Between the perceptions of humanity and the realm of the Angels there is a thinning of a veil that separates these different realities.

As more and more of these otherworldly experiences are revealed, people find the courage to share their truth. Hearing the experiences of others serves to bring awareness into what is known as conscious reality.

More and more, the Presence and even the intervention of Angels is a part of mainstream understanding. Each time that someone shares the mystical and mysterious story from their own life, others find the courage to believe in their own experiences.

There is more than what is material in this world that is real. Opening your heart and mind to an awareness beyond the confinement of only the physical senses expands your knowledge in profound ways.

Something I find fascinating is that it is only since humanity has crowned science as King that the presence of Angels was questioned. Throughout the history of the Bible, Angels were the frequent messengers of God.

Artists revealed their inner vision in their art which was often populated by Angels, from Archangels to cherubim. Mankind before the age of science did not question the Presence of Angels as a part of life. It was understood that Angels were a part of the world in which we lived.

This separation of the world of Spirit from the world of matter is a somewhat recent societal perspective. Sadly the insistence on only perceiving what is material as real deprives humanity of enjoying the vast array of beings that live in a non-material form.

Scientific research proves that you can only perceive what your mind believes. That is part of why the sharing of the subtle experiences of the healing touch of a comforting Angel is essential.

Denying the existence of Angels serves no purpose in life.

More people than you can imagine have told themselves they must be imagining things when they received the healing touch of an Angel. I find that very sad. Angels are a part of life. They are a crucial part of the heavenly hosts, and they are an integral part of how Spirit interacts with and influences humanity.

The Touch of A Comforting Angel

It seems that at the time of deep despair and sorrow it is easier for the touch of a comforting Angel to make it through to your perception because the pain of the loss has lowered your defenses.

hope to heal the heart of the genuine pain of loss, seems to make it easier to expand your consciousness to the Presence of Angels.

Comforting Angels have dedicated their lives to serve humanity as an expression of Divine Love and grace. Their mission is to provide hope to their human counterpart across the veil.

You may have felt their healing touch when your heart was broken and you thought that all was lost. You may have been blessed by the protective enfoldment in peace, love and even joy in the time of your greatest sorrow.

If so, at the end of this article is a way you can share your story and experience. It may be a blessing to others who struggle to understand. It may fortify others to reveal their truth.

Bringing an understanding of the Angelic presence and spiritual purpose is why I write about Angels. The Heavens are not deaf to the cries of humanity. God knows all sorrows and hears all pleas. He dispenses His Angels to distribute His Love and comfort to humanity that often turns away his messengers and denies his blessing because of the instance that only what is experienced through the 5 senses is real and that the material world is the only world there is. That is quite simply not true.

The life force of Spirit, the world of the Soul, the realm of Angels is all real. The world of the Soul and the kingdom of Angels are a part of the living force of Spirit, are all real. To expand your awareness to their presence and purpose in your life opens you to truths and understandings that will enrich your life.

Meditation and prayer are often the portals to this enlightened awareness. I invite you to leave behind the limitations of what is unreal to open your heart, mind, and Soul to the rich reality of spiritual life.

I invite you to call upon Angels to join with you when you pray and meditate. Aligning with your Soul is helpful. The kingdom of Angels is in the realm of Spirit where your Soul resides.

If you want to be comforted by Angels I encourage you to consciously build the energetic bridge to your Soul through meditation and then expand your awareness to the presence of Angels.

Starting To Be Aware of Your Soul

This article is part of my ongoing series on Soul Consciousness.

Throughout the long journey of human evolution and life experience, you have had a Soul.

Through the various highways and byways of life adventures, your Soul has been available to you. Most often, most times, it is not given even a glimmer of thought.

For most, your physical body and your material needs occupy your primary attention and focus. Second, to those needs, your emotional needs and desires gain your attention. Often those attentions are focused on what you want from others, what makes you feel good or a relationship with others that may be unfulfilled, and unattained.

Lost in the maze of these competing needs and desires, you reach out to your mind to understand what life is all about. Despite the incredible strength of your physical desires and demands you probably know there is more to life than what you can see, touch, taste, touch or smell.

Your emotions provide the distracting roller coaster ride from anger to depression, from a need or fear, all wrapped in the illusion that what you sense physically, or experience emotionally are what is real.

Your ego, the great deceiver, feeds your fears and weaves a web of illusion that relies on feelings of separateness justifying selfishness and self-serving behaviors.

In the midst of these competing attention-grabbing perspectives, you may feel like a juggler at a fair, so busy keeping the different colored balls in the air that you dare not pause for even a moment or it will all come tumbling down.

Be Aware of Your Soul

If you are spiritually inclined or spiritually searching you may sense there is something beyond just “dancing as fast as you can.” Even though to stop may feel dangerous.

You may have even tried meditation but found the relentless chatter of the voice of your competing sense of unmet needs and desires too distracting to understand the benefit that is promised by meditation.

This is important to understand. Your Soul needs all of the parts of yourself working together for your life to be successful. These different parts of yourself, when each valued and appreciated for what they offer to your life, integrated and aligned, grant you the empowerment to fulfill and express your life purpose.

Surprisingly, your ego, which many spiritual people demean and revile is a valuable and essential part of your human life expression. It is a necessary element in fulfilling and expressing your Soul’s work and your Soul’s purpose.

Your mind is not superior to your body and emotions; it is different from your body and emotions. Each has a part to play in the incredible miracle of life that makes up you.

Your physical body, your appetites, your desires, are equal players in the miracle that makes up who and what you are that makes you a human being. I believe it is a mistake to demean your physical nature or dismiss the value and importance of your emotions.

Peace of mind may seem as impossible to reach as Peace on Earth but hold onto your Hope.

The Dual Nature of Your Life

One of the keys to starting to be aware of your Soul is that the miracle of life with which you have been blessed is not limited by the sensations of your six senses. You need not be controlled by your physical body cravings or emotional desires.

You are a human being. As a human being, you are God’s incredible creation. You have the unique opportunity to be a physical, temporal creature, and to at the same time have within you a Spark of Divine Light that connects you with Divine Love.

This dual nature of the human experience has the ability to bring your Soul closer to you. Your Soul is an integral part of who and what you are as a human being. Your Soul is available to grant you this dual perspective on your life.

This dual perspective honors and supports all aspects of your life when you learn to utilize the fullness of your being. Your ego, your personality, your physical nature, your emotions, your thoughts, and your mind, are all essential elements of your Spiritual nature.

To be able to create and manifest in the world of matter,
your Soul needs the hands of your physical body.

Remember that each part of your Self is not only valuable, but it is also essential. To be able to create and manifest in the world of matter, your Soul needs the hands of your physical body. Your physical body is not of less value or status than your Soul. It has a different function and purpose than your Soul.

To consciously integrate these diverse aspects of yourself in cooperation and harmony with Divine Purpose and Divine Will is the way the Spiritual person can distinguish and define life. It is by honoring and respecting but not being driven by each of these physical, emotional and mental aspects and talents you have available as a human being that you are empowered.

It is only the fully functioning creative aspect of a human being, integrated on all levels, body, emotions, mind, ego personality and Soul that can stand next to the Creator as a co-creator. Ponder on this.

That is the role for which you, as a human being, you as the recipient of the Spark of Divine Light that became the human Soul and thus differentiated human life from all other life are meant to experience. That is the miracle of awareness of your Soul and ultimate integration with your body and mind (personality) that allows you to fulfill the purpose that is in the mind of God.

All of life is called to this divine purpose. All of Love is expressed in this divine purpose. Your life is designed to manifest this ultimate divine purpose.

All of the parts of your being and all of the availability of integration of your Soul with your Personality are drawn to this purpose.

How Do I Know If I Am Making Soul Contact?

Simple Signs of Soul Contact.

Awareness of new possibilities emerge in your mind with Hope and Promise.
You feel the profound presence of Love. This enables you to open your heart and love others, and also enfolds you in the sensation of Grace as you realize you are loved unconditionally.
You are embraced within a sense of deep Peace and Oneness.

By consciously joining your Heart, Mind, and Soul with this divine purpose you become an active participant in this miracle of co-creation.

To empower this, I offer you, from the Archives of the Masters, the words of what is known as The Great Invocation, The Invocation For Power and Light Prayer.

Voicing this invocation, especially when said from an awareness of integration of your Soul and Personality, when offered from a sincere heart for the purpose of aligning with the divine plan and purpose of life can have healing and transformative power for all of life.

I encourage you to add this invocation to your spiritual practice and spiritual expression daily and ponder on its greater meaning.

To Commune with Angels

This article is part of my on-going series on Angels.

There are many kinds of Angels that inhabit our world.

Some Angels work with your Soul to provide what you need as a way of providing Divine support and guidance along your life’s adventure. These Angels I often refer to as “Guiding Angels.” Among these, and perhaps the best known angelic presence in your life is your Guardian Angel.

Certainly, your Guardian Angel is the Angel that is most aware of and attuned to your earth adventure. Your Guardian Angel is aligned with your Soul in the process of creation of your specific life experience.

From the miracle of creation that started with the spark of Divine Light of your Soul and gave you the breath of life and activated your birth, Angels are available to you.

Make yourself familiar with the angels and behold them frequently in spirit; for without being seen, they are present with you.

With their understanding of Divine Will, Divine Purpose and the overall plan for humanity, their support and guidance are activated in your life at birth.

When To Commune With Angels

Because your Angels are an unfettered source of experiencing and receiving Divine Love there are special times in your life when it is encouraged that you consciously commune with your Angles for help.

When Looking For Help, Comfort, and Divine Insight

Angels serve as messengers of Divine insight. In fact, the very name Angel means messenger of God.

They are available to put you in touch with energies that are beyond the material, for they reside as spirit. They can help you expand your conscious awareness of the world of spirit by their Presence.

Among the ways that the Angels’ commune with you are sensations. As Angels are beings of Spirit they are aligned with Divine Love, so the sensation of being completely enfolded in endless and totally unconditional love is why when communing with your Angels you may feel comforted, supported, and sustained.

Remember there is a partnership with your Soul and your Angels. This partnership never deviates from working for what is congruent with Divine Will, Divine Purpose, and your Soul purpose for your life.

No matter how much you may cry out to manifest the desires of your personality or to feed and preen your ego, that is not what your Angels are about. Within you, as is true within every human being, is a dual awareness, a merger of matter and spirit, physical and spiritual, temporal and eternal.

The Angels understand those dual forces are in your nature, but as beings of spirit and light, they do not experience the pain of human desire. They are constantly aligned with the eternal perspective and can use that alignment to provide more of that conscious awareness to you.

To call upon your Angels for help, comfort, strength, and support is always possible and encouraged as long as you remember that your personal will, your free will, is your responsibility. Angels cannot and will not interfere in personality issues.

Loss of A Loved One

When you have lost someone you loved is a particularly effective time for Angels to make their Presence felt in your conscious awareness because they are naturally aligned with the Soul Plane.

Their Presence can serve as a comforting bridge through which the bond of love can exist between your Soul and the Soul of your departed loved one. The Angels can help intensify the energy of love as an act of their love, the love of your departed and Divine Love. This is a powerful time and way to experience Angels in your life.

Of course, being human and thus having free will you can choose how much of that “Love Connection” you wish to experience at any time. The comfort that comes from the Angels at the time of the death of a loved one is so powerful and profound that I call them “Comforting Angels.” Their ability to hone the sensation of Divine Love so that it can be felt and experienced in the human experience is amazing.

When praying for someone who is suffering from the grief of the death of a loved one, I often request and invoke their Presence for the one who is grieving. By invoking the attention of the Angels for the one who is dealing with this life challenge I feel that I am able to provide some small support and comfort not matter if I am physically close or far. The calling upon Angels is a way of extending my love across the miles.

When You Want To Experience the Meaning of Love

One of the most significant purposes for which Angels are available in human life is as a source of helping a human being experience Love, and by this, I mean Divine Love, unconditional and untinged by need or desire.

The ability for humanity to learn to love is a key element in God’s Divine Plan.

Love is the unifying force between the worlds of spirit and matter. Love lets us use matter for expression but remains free of matter in its manifestation. This is a mystery worth pondering.

That Divine Love is received through angelic Presence makes sense, since Angels have been perceived as the messengers of God since time immemorial.

Angels are also believed to be the primary residents of heaven. Yet it is their role and works with humanity that is for me the most exciting part of the relationship between the angelic and human experience.

It gives me great comfort to know that the forces of Love have a host of angel assistants to help humanity in learning what love is because it seems to me that learning to love is job one for humanity. And that is not an easy task for a material being to learn. Physical desires and the fabled desires of the flesh can be a challenge for every human being, through every single life.

Love can be expressed through those physical desires through sexuality and passion, but love, real love is spiritual and eternal. The sexuality and attachment to the physical form of another may open you to Love, but the real bond of Love is formed in the spiritual and eternal aspect of life, Soul to Soul.

When You Want To Get In Touch With Your Soul

When in the course of life’s experience, the temporal nature of life results in the loss and death of the one you love, the Angels can serve as a bridge to awareness of your Soul, and the Soul of your beloved which at death has become fully spirit as it shed the material body it inhabited for a time.

We’ve never had to look far to find our angels. Angels have never really been out of reach. We can always discover angels from the inside-out because it is the angel inside us who can point the way to all our other angels.

This is also true of the place where the Soul resides. Spirit is unfettered by the rules or needs of matter. As you commune with the Angels, and as you become increasingly aware of your Soul as a part of your human anatomy, this different spiritual perspective becomes more real to you.

Remember going forward that Angels can help you learn about your Soul and understand and touch your Soul every day.

It may have been to provide physical protection. It may have been to intuitive inspiration. It may have been to provide strength and courage in times of sorrow or adversity. Know that your Angels are always around and you can commune with them if you quiet the chatter and open yourself to their subtle presence. What Lessons Will Love Teach Me?

This post is a part of my ongoing series on Love.

As I ponder the meaning of life I find myself considering the lessons of love.

When I look back over my life the lessons of love stand out as the most important things I have ever learned.

This leads me to ponder and consider why learning to love is more life-enhancing and transforming than the many lessons that must be mastered every day?

Somehow, the lessons of love stand out as more significant and more meaningful than all other life lessons.

I have long seen life as a university of consciousness. Throughout life, you can do right, or do what is wrong. And from that adventure learn what works and what fails.

Each of life’s lessons is important but I believe the ones involving love are the most profound. Cumulatively, these decisions on a trial and error basis form wisdom. Over the ages, as you live and learn, your Soul, as the Divine Spark of your consciousness, learns its lessons that it can make available to you when you call upon your Higher Self for insight and wisdom.

Your Soul, as the eternal part of your being and essence, becomes a storehouse of wisdom. Miraculously, you can call upon that accumulated consciousness to guide you and advise you in this life experience.

Accessing the wisdom that is stored in your eternal spark is part of how your Higher Self supports and teaches you. It’s still quiet voice can guide you and inspire you in many of life’s challenges. Your Soul’s voice is vast and when called upon provides discernment that spans knowledge.

There seems to be an indwelling guidance system of calling upon your Higher Self that works amazingly well in life. The more you use it to solve and resolve your life lessons the better it works.

Yet, it is in learning life’s lessons about love that there is a shift. There is something about love that stands out as different. Learning to love which is arguably the most important lesson life will ever teach you stands out as unique.

That is because love is not a decision or action of your personality, your mind or even your emotions.

Love is a state of being that is created Soul-to-Soul. The essence of your Soul is already love and when that essence is turned to another it forms a miracle of eternal connection. This is a part of both the mystery and the magic of love.

Once love enters the equation life’s experience moves from the material and temporal into the realm of the spiritual and eternal. It is effortless for your Soul to make this transition. Your Soul already lives in the spiritual and the eternal. Love is the very essence of your Soul. To love is the expression of your Soul’s highest nature,

Love is different from anything else you learn in life. Love is where your Soul and your personality must meet by the very nature of what it truly means to love. When you love, what seems to be situational and circumstantial shifts into what is beyond time and eternal.

It is with love that the blending of action and being come together in that is unique in the human experience. It is when you love that you can really function as a dual being of both Soul and personality.

The nature of love is Divine Love, so when you love you have opened yourself to the eternal and you have opened yourself to your Soul.

Unconditional love really exists in each of us. It is part of our deep inner being. It is not so much an active emotion as a state of being. It’s not ‘I love you’ for this or that reason, not ‘I love you if you love me.’ It’s love for no reason, love without an object.

It is this blending of action and being, this merging of your Soul with your personality that makes the lessons of love different from any other life lesson. It is in the coming together of the temporal and the eternal that love can provide such joy in your life. It is when we love that we touch the very nature of the Divine.

God is Love

It is when you love that you have an understanding of what life is all about. Meaning is granted to the most mundane experiences. To love changes everything. It opens you to joy and fills you with contentment.

True love is free from attachment because it dwells in the eternal. We learn to love because we are loved. Our hearts expand with love as we touch our Soul, whose very nature is love. The more we open our life to love the more we know joy. The more we open our hearts to love the more we understand the seemingly incomprehensible concepts of Grace, compassion, and mercy.

It is because your Soul dwells in the eternal that aligning with and calling forth the Love that is the nature of your Soul allows you to begin to learn the lessons of love through choosing to connect with your Soul. It is because when you love another you must access your Soul to form the eternal bond that is the nature of love that your life is transformed by learning to love.

I can think of no situation or circumstance in life that has more power than love. I can think of nothing that is more profound than letting yourself love. Love immediately creates a magnetic attraction that can be sensed by all of life. This occurs intuitively and preconsciously beyond logic or understanding.

Like draws to like so the more you love, the more loving people come into your life. The more kindness and support you receive from unexpected places. As you choose to give more love and be more love in the world you find your connection with Divine Love is a source that you can draw upon without limit for the blessing of others. Ponder on these lessons.

Love becomes its own reward. This reward is not measured in material things but is measured in joy. It brings with it a deep sense of peace, yes even the peace that passes understanding when this lesson is learned and demonstrated.

Below is a meditation to help you experience the Love that is available to you. I suggest that before you meditate that you have a journal beside you so you can record and remember any insights you receive in meditation.

to Bring You to the Touch of Your Soul

Sit quietly as you calm your mind, open your heart, and invite the Light.

Let your breathing rise and fall naturally with the awareness that you are the one who is breathing in and you are the one who is breathing out.

Let yourself open your heart and your mind a little more with each breath.

As your mind calms from the focus on your breath allow your heart to expand with the energy of love.

As you are aware that you are the one who is breathing in and breathing out realize that the love that is filling you is a part of who you are. That part is your Soul, whose very nature is love, whose very essence is love.

As you fill your heart with the love energy that is streaming into you invite the Light of your Soul.

Identify with that energy that is filling you to overflowing by affirming

“I Am the Soul”

Let that affirmation resonate with you.

Then affirm:

“I Am Love”

As you say those words let the power of Love fill your heart to overflowing.

Then using your creative imagination visualize a source of Divine energy that you may experience as a golden or ultra-bright white light, a braiding path of love moving into your heart and imagine that light expanding your heart with the Divine Love that is the nature of your Soul.

Let the love stream of energy coming from your heart touch the love stream of energy coming from your Soul.

Imagine those two energies moving back and forth, up and down from your Soul to your heart, and from your heart back to your Soul.

As these two streams of loving light circulate realize that they are blending and fusing.

As they merge and fuse they are expanding the love in your heart and fusing your love with the blessing of Divine Love.

The chalice of your heart overflows as you touch this Source of Love that comes to you.

In this love, with this love, you are being love. Let that essence flow through you and then with intention let that essence flow through you as a blessing to all others and a blessing to all of life.

This love that flows through you and from you is completely free of desire or need. It just is. It blesses every being that it touches without need or attachment. It is full and complete as you are full and complete as you serve as a conduit for Divine Love.

Let this love and this light flow outward to the weary waiting world for as long as it feels right for you to do.

You have merged your heart with your Soul. Let the strands of the braid from your heart to your Soul relax and loosen.

As you become aware of your body again focus on breathing in and breathing out.

Be aware that you are the one who is breathing in, and you are the one who is breathing out.

You are also a Source of endless Love centered in the Will of Love Divine.

Standing thus let yourself be aware of your body and your breath.

Be aware that in meditation with the touch of your Soul you can be a dual being of Soul and personality, of love and Light.

Take a really deep, satisfying and relaxing breath to enjoy and appreciate the amazing being that you are.

Let your breath return to a normal relaxed breathing. It may take a moment for the beating of your heart to quiet and calm.

As you return to your normal awareness take a moment to stretch your body and relax.

Then take a few moments to record the sensations of this experience along with any sensations you can recall of holding love in your heart.

This Love, this connection with your Soul and with the Source of Love is something you can draw upon for your healing and your happiness. It is also a Source of Love you can use to share with all of those you Love.

This Love is given freely, requiring nothing from the other. It can flow freely from your heart to their heart with your only desire being the highest good of all.

You can use the above meditation technique any time you need it to connect your life with Love and demonstrate the lessons of love that you have learned.

Thoughts on Surrender, Crucifixion, and Resurrection

As Easter comes around, I find that my meditations turn to thoughts on the resurrection.

To consider the life of Jesus separate from the resurrection seems to miss the importance of what the final three acts of His story can teach.

That final step, resurrection, may seem so far above and beyond what you can ever accomplish in your own Spiritual life that you dismiss it as a life lesson.

When I look at the life of Jesus, I don’t think anything is accidental. Every act, every miracle, every parable was His way of teaching. He taught by doing and demonstrating through His own life what it meant to be both the Son of God and the Son of Man.

What Jesus Taught by Example

This teaching by example, through the activities and events of His own life, are never more significant than in understanding the last three acts of His life. The fact that these acts were so amazing and so far beyond what the average human being feels they could do I believe has resulted in His followers sometimes dismissing the deeper message that is embedded within them.

Jesus came into human existence to demonstrate what a human being can be and can do. Not only does He demonstrate His human nature, but He also demonstrated His Divine nature. That was the message, not an accident.

Jesus, as the Son of God and the Son of Man, was demonstrating the full potential of what it means to be a dual being, a blending of being both fully human and fully Divine. It is this mystery that I believe empowers the deepest meaning of these last three steps in His life adventure, Surrender, Crucifixion, and Resurrection.

It is easy to dismiss the life of Jesus as a story of a God and miss that is also a story of a Man. It is easy to see the sacrifice of the crucifixion and forget the pain of the surrender in the Garden of Gethsemane.

It may also be easy to focus on the life of Jesus and think that because he was also Divine His example and demonstration does not relate to your life and isn’t an example you are being called to follow.

That would be a mistake, for Jesus told His followers, “Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father.” John 14:12-14 (New Revised Standard Bible Version.)

Jesus was not holding Himself out as an example of a miracle worker who was beyond human ability. He was telling His followers, His disciples, what they can do and can be. He was telling you what your ultimate purpose is as a material human being who is also endowed by the Father (Creator) with the spark of Divine Light that is the gift to every human being to become the dual being of a Man-God.

If you ignore the significance and the suffering of Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane you may have missed the crux of the story. It is reported that “Jesus wept.” John 11:35. Jesus was more than a Divine being playing out a drama on the stage of life. He was a living, breathing, real human being who decided to sacrifice himself out of Love for Humanity.

Everything that happened in the next three days, the crucifixion and the resurrection were the result of that human choice, made in prayer and distress as He said, “Not my Will but Thine be done.”

The man Jesus, chose to surrender His will to Divine Will. Jesus chose to sacrifice His human life as an act of Love.

That choice and that sacrifice allowed a miracle to happen. That miracle was mystical and the fulfillment of Divine purpose, as in that moment of total obedience and willing sacrifice the energy of Divine Love was able to be anchored on Earth. That was such a powerful and profound shift in energy that the veil in the temple was rent. Then the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was torn in two. And when Jesus had cried out with a loud voice, He said, ‘Father, into Your hands I commit My spirit.’ Having said this, He breathed His last. (Luke 23:45–46)

The mystery is that is what marked the moment that humanity began to have true Divine Love available.

It is significant to note that Jesus committed His Spirit to the Father as his material body breathed His last. It is noteworthy that the resurrection happened three days later, on Easter morning. Jesus, in the final act of His surrender, was totally aligned with the Father (Creator) and totally aligned with bringing the force of Divine Love to earth. This was His act of Love and His act of service for all of humanity.

In that final act, not only was Love anchored on earth, but the human part of man that was Jesus completed His union with the Christ which had been over-lighting and guiding His message and His activities throughout His teaching and preaching. It was this connection of the man Jesus, with the Divine aspect of the Christ, that explains the dual life of Jesus, how He could be both God and man.

The fusing of the personality of Jesus, (the man) with the energy of the Christ (the Divine) is the most profound part of the story of the life of Jesus. It provides the best example of what you are directed to do as a human being, to bring through your Soul into your personal life, thoughts, words, and deeds through the Divine energy of the Christ.

It is this fulfillment of the example of the life of Jesus that creates the fulfillment of His words of “Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father.” John 14:12-14 (New Revised Standard Bible Version)

Jesus going to the Father was more than hyperbole. It was a mystical act of joining His human nature with His Divine nature. And the Christ is the One who serves humanity as the conduit from human existence to the Father (Divine Creator essence).

When Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6 (Contemporary English Bible Version) He was speaking not a truth of separative requirement that limits people to Christian belief, but rather an energetic truth that the path to the Father is so vast and charged that the Christ serves as an energetic portal for reaching that exalted transcendent energy.

By Jesus embodying the Christ, He demonstrated how you as a human being and a Soul could go to the Father. Going to the Father is what empowered the life of Jesus. It is what gave Him the ability to perform miracles, especially those miracles that seem to defy the laws of matter and the laws of nature as we understand them to be.

This aspect of going to the Father is also what makes resurrection, not simply the last act in the drama of Jesus’s life but the confirmation that resurrection is the final example that Jesus demonstrated as what you and I are instructed to do eventually.

Each Easter, as we celebrate the joy of resurrection with the words shouted across the world “He is Risen, He is Risen Indeed” are offered as the comfort and reassurance of our eternal life through the miracle of resurrection.

Resurrection is a miracle and a mystery, but it is also a promise for the Son of Man who like Jesus is the Son of God.

Ponder on this and celebrate this Easter season in remembrance of the one who sacrificed His life to show us the way.

Letting Angels Teach Us the Meaning of Love

This article is part of our on-going series on Angels.

We are told in the stories of Creation that God created the Heavens and the Earth.

That may be a statement that has sometimes given you pause, or, it may be something that never crosses your mind; or something you have never considered.

The mystery of Angels is that they are beings of Spirit and Light while we, as humans, are beings of Spirit and Matter.

Tradition tells us that Angels are the messengers of God. With the evolution of science in human consciousness, the role of Angels diminished. Humanity has in the recent past become more limited by its collective insistence that only what is experienced through the five senses is real.

An amazing aspect of consciousness is that it is always totally subjective. Without a concept in your mind, you cannot perceive. This is a part of life’s mystery. This is why determining what is real, and differentiating what is unreal is such a significant part of the spiritual journey.

There is a common folk saying that “seeing is believing.” Yet, we cannot see the energy of radio waves but we now know they are there. Ultimately, I believe it is also true that “believing is seeing.” Ponder on this.

Understanding the laws of matter and relying on your five senses is one way you may see the world, but, it is not the only way. Sensation and perception can open you to what is known as the sixth sense. Just acknowledging the possibility that there is more to reality than what you might experience with your limited five senses can shift your awareness. The truth is “we don’t know what we don’t know.”

Here is a secret; opening your awareness is necessary if you want to communicate and learn from Angels.

Greater Awareness Is Coming

Communicating with Angels is something that has changed in these emerging times. It is important to understand that consciousness is a part of livingness in every form in which life is expressed. Consciousness is an ongoing process of both evolution and involution as an expression of life itself.

At this time in human evolution, consciousness is transforming to a greater awareness of reality. A new consciousness is emerging that empowers the human experience to encompass more than just dense matter. The world of the Soul and the awareness of Spirit is in greater awareness. The substance of your Soul is Spirit and Light. Connecting with your Soul Light opens you to the presence and communion with the Angelic Kingdom.

The separation that has long existed between these two realms, Spirit and Matter, Human and Angelic have been thinning. This phenomenon is sometimes referred to as “the thinning of the veil.” The tasks of the evolution of consciousness are becoming more permeable and interactive than in previous times.

This change seems to be a part of the creation of a “new heaven and a new earth” that is part of the prophecy of the emerging consciousness. This foretold creation impacts the relationship between Angels and humanity that is compatible with the evolution in consciousness of both realms.

Messenger of God

In ancient stories of Angels appearing to humanity, the Angels were portrayed as messengers. Angels, being more recognizable and compatible to human life arrived and were visible to communicate important messages. The stories related often speak to the fear that humans had of Angelic Presence since the very first thing the Angels would say is “be not afraid.”

Fear is a common response of the human experience when presented with what is unfamiliar and unknown.

Special Angels, often Archangels, were chosen for these missions. And, although these stories are rare and noteworthy, they are sufficiently common for humanity to understand that Angels are real and a part of the relationship between humanity and the Divine.

The role of a Guardian Angel is an example of how the angelic kingdom is aware of the challenges of the human experience. A special relationship exists between an individual and their Guardian Angel. That relationship is forged between your Soul and the Angel that takes on the charge of being your Guardian Angel in your life.

What is significant to understand and honor in these times of the thinning of the veil between heaven and earth is that both humanity and the Angels are constantly expanding their consciousness and awareness. Angels and humanity, although on different pathways of evolving consciousness have a relationship. This relationship is about different ways of experiencing the divine.

What We Can Learn From Angels

What is amazing is that these two very different manifestations of life and consciousness are learning similar lessons. Learning these lessons in a body composed of matter is very different from learning these lessons as a being of Spirit and Light.

Humanity, as it evolves and ascends its consciousness to the ever greater awareness of Light, Love, and Spirit, have much they can learn from Angels. Now, with the thinning of the veil between Heaven and Earth greater communication is possible. The Angels remain messengers, as they have always been, but their ability to communicate, teach us and guide us is expanding.

Teaching Us The Meaning of Love

At this time, I believe mostly what they are teaching humanity is about Love. Learning to Love, and ultimately infusing and transforming matter with Love in an epic transformation. This lesson is integral to humanity evolving (beyond its animal nature) and is essential for planet earth to become a sacred planet.

Humanity is learning to Love, and Love infusing matter is the mystery of redemption that expands into Cosmic levels of purpose.

Angels are engaged in this Divine purpose to help and support humanity in accomplishing this transition. The result of the separation of the world of matter from the Angelic realm thinning is an increased opportunity for communion and communication. The presence of Angels is moving more and more into human awareness. Perception is expanding beyond the five senses.

Meditation, prayer, and humanities reach for the Angels and the longing for the true meaning of love are revealing more and more. The Angelic communication to human consciousness is mostly telepathic and is most often perceived as a whisper of the still quiet voice that is also the tool of your Soul (Higher Self) guiding you.

The Angels are committed to the fulfillment of what is aligned with Divine Will for you in your life. Indeed, since Angels do not have free will like humans have, they can do no other.

What We Can Teach The Angels

As the Angels are emerging more and more to help humanity learn about Love, they are being exposed to what free will means. I can only imagine that they are learning from humanity as they help humanity as part of their own angelic involutionary path back to mankind.

Certainly, the increased exposure to human emotion, particularly the pain of unfulfilled desire is a learning experience. Human life, confined in matter and emotionally subject to the astral plane requires a major shift in consciousness. In order for the Angels to support humanity in this great lesson of Love, they must become more aware of the trials and tribulations of the human life experience.

This is a great sacrifice the Angels are making. When they reveal themselves to you in these emerging times I encourage you to be thankful for the sacrifice of service that they are offering to you. Even to embody matter sufficiently for you to see them, hear them and sense them is different from their essence of Spirit and Light. Have compassion and gratitude and do not abuse their service to humanity.

As this process of revelation increases, the only way humanity can repay their sacrifice is by opening to the highest levels of Love and merging your Love with theirs. When they see life on earth being transformed by Love, and how their gift brings new awareness and consciousness to humanity their joy will expand. Angels will demonstrate a new integrated way of being that is infused with Love and aligned with Divine Will. I encourage you to honor them with love as the blessing that they are to humanity and to your life and growth.

What Would Jesus Do Today?

Ask yourself,
what would Jesus do today?

This is a question to ask yourself if you consider yourself a Christian.

When I started this article, I was directed to address it to the American Evangelical Church, because of the moral and political crisis that is facing that group in this moment of history.

The more I meditated and prayed on this time in the world; I realized that the problems being faced by the world today are being experienced around the world, in every geopolitical environment because they are the spiritual challenge facing humanity right now.

It Is A Time Of Crisis

Across the planet, throughout the Country, throughout the church, people are being called to make decisions about what is wrong, and what is right, what is not moral and what is moral.

It is a time of crisis, indeed in the United States of America, yet, when I take a more realistic and global look at this moment in the evolution of human life and consciousness, the decisions and choices are being played out on a world stage and apply to all nations.

When I was first directed in my meditation to write this message, I must admit I resisted it. I suggested the spiritual insights and guidance would reach the evangelical community better through ministers who focus on serving this group. They are well known and would undoubtedly be listened to better than I, and although a Christian I am not of the evangelical tribe.

As I argued and resisted with myself internally, I was then reminded that I often pray “here I am Lord, use me.” I was being asked to honor my word. The Lord was asking to use me. Would I turn my back in disobedience, or was I a woman of my word?

So, prayerfully and meditatively I opened my mind, my heart, and my Soul to listen to the message I was being called to share. My argument that I was not worthy was countered by the reminder that those called to deliver a message from God often felt unworthy. My Biblical knowledge flashed through a myriad of stories of the dire and disastrous consequences of those called to deliver a message from God, and the results when they tried to flee or disobey God’s call.

Chastised and committed to obedience in my meditation, I picked up my proverbial pen (although, it is a computer) re-entered a prayerful and receptive meditative state and began to record the thoughts and impressions being sent through me to this community.

What Would Jesus Do?

I was reminded that among Evangelical Christians many strive to live their faith by asking themselves the question, “What would Jesus do?” This was the question I was guided to ask in this letter.

It is abundantly clear that asking that question is an excellent way to consider the many life choices we are called upon to make.

As I continued to ponder and consider the direction, I realized that the value and import of this question were broader than just one country or only one church.

However, the need for this article to be sent to and directed to Evangelical Christians is clear.

If you are an Evangelical Christian, or if you know Evangelical Christians I ask your help in sending this article to that group, for that was my initial instruction and purpose for writing this article.

As I continued to pray and meditate on this question “What would Jesus Do?” my thoughts expanded. In the history of humanity, the choices Jesus made were so powerful and profound that over two thousand years later we are in awe of what he taught and demonstrated in His life and more amazingly in His death and sacrifice.

To make your life and moral choices by the guidance of the question “What would Jesus Do” can be a tough moral standard to follow. His path was not an easy path, and choosing what is right over what is wrong may never be the easy way.

Human nature and being human is vulnerable to pride. Self-righteousness and assurance of moral superiority are sins we must all consider when we make a moral choice.

To take a stand for right action in life, especially if you consider “what Jesus would do” requires that you answer how Love is served, how harmlessness and compassion are demonstrated.

With that in mind, I am reminded of the parable Jesus told as guidance for following Him.

The parable in Matthew 25:40 Jesus said:

The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’ (New International Bible Version)

Now I believe that of all the lessons that Jesus taught and all of the ways he guided those who say they follow Him, there is no better guide for our moral decision to determine what you should do, than those words. So, I ask you to consider the moral and political choices of today’s world and challenges by examining the question of “what would Jesus do?”

What would Jesus do about . . . immigration? Would he close the borders to refugees? Would he deport the DACA young people and deprive them the opportunity to live their lives and fulfill their Soul purpose because they are of a different culture?

Would Jesus deprive children of Health Care because their parents are poor? Would he deprive the disabled of Medicare? Would He defund Health insurance supplements for working families in need?

What would Jesus do about the Homeless, especially Homeless and Disabled Veterans?

Would Jesus eliminate funding for breakfast for school-age children or meals for seniors?

Would he punish addiction by profitable prisons, or might he support treatment and rehabilitation?

“What would Jesus do?” is a question I invite all of you to consider in light of the many issues and challenges coming before the American people and Evangelical Christians in these troubling times.

There is in our world and in our society a battle for the Soul of America. If America is to be a Christian nation as I believe the Evangelical Christian Church desires, then we must behave in a way that is congruent with the teachings of Matthew 25:40, or risk being rejected by the King as the parable teaches.

Asking the question “What would Jesus do today?” is a call of conscience to not only the Evangelical Church but to the Catholic Church and every denomination that identifies as Christian.

Many countries have made these decisions, yet I write especially to the United States of America today because she is in a battle for the Soul of American over the forces of greed.

Make A Choice & Take A Stand

If you want America to be a Christian Nation, then you must in your political life take a stand.

The forces of greed and selfishness are strong. Asking yourself “what would Jesus do?” will help you consider what you can do to solve many of these social and societal issues. What are you funding to support and help in the world? Does it reflect what Jesus would do, or does it support the forces of selfishness and greed?

These are the questions every citizen who identifies themselves as a Christian are being called to consider. It is not easy to follow Christ. Jesus was an example that we all fall short of achieving. As I pen these words, I remember that in every Christian variation is the creed and affirmation that Christ will come again.

The promise, the hope and the belief of the reappearance of the Christ cross all the divisions in the Christian faith. We are told of His coming, “But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.” Matthew 24:36.

We, as Christians are charged to live every day prepared for His coming. Certainly, looking at the choices and changes in the world today, the world may well be preparing for that moment. Are you?

Are the causes you are supporting today compatible with you being more than a Sunday morning Christian? Are you living your life and making your political decisions based on the guidance of the question, “What would Jesus Do?”

Are you making the choices as if your Lord himself were one of the disenfranchised, needy and poor? Do you see Jesus in the face of every person? Are you following His commandment, indeed His only commandment to Love, but to your neighbor as yourself?

These are the questions I was guided to place before you as a member of the Christian movement. This is the message I was directed to offer to you from my morning prayers and meditations.

There are significant decisions before you in our modern world, in our country, America and indeed in every country across the planet.

We need to decide who and what defines us as a culture, as a society. I invite you and encourage you to take direction and guidance of your faith as you ask yourself and then answer, “What would Jesus Do Today?”

Before I close this article and my own prayerful meditations I am guided to offer you a prayer to support you in your desire to follow the teachings of Jesus. This is a prayer to support you as you strive to walk your talk, to demonstrate to the world what Jesus would do.

Lord, I Want To Be Like Jesus Prayer

Let Us Pray

Beloved Lord,

I humbly ask that you come to me and guide me in the choices I make today. Lord, I want to be like Jesus in my heart and in my life.

I open my heart to the power of the Holy Spirit that I may find the strength to Love my neighbor as myself.

As I invite the Love of the Christ into my heart compassion fills me. In the face of every stranger let me see the face of Jesus. Let every act of kindness be of service to you my beloved Lord. So, you instructed us, and so I strive to be more like you today.

I know I may fall short of being able to accomplish this, so I surrender to the Love of the Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit to fill me and infuse me so that I may be an active demonstration of what Jesus would do.

As I offer myself to this work and service, I ask that not my will but thine be done, through me.

Help me to consider harmlessness as I consider the plight of others. Please guide my thoughts and words. Grant me the strength to stand up for what my heart and Love tell me are right action in this world of sorrow and need.

Lord empower me to see your face in everyone I see that I may express my gratitude to you for your sacrifice by my own service to those you called “the least of these my brethren.”

Help me remember that my service to the hungry and sick, the refugees and prisoners, the addicts and alcoholics is my service to You.

Let me be a living example of Your life, Your Love and Your Grace. Let me be a source of good in the world.

In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray.

I Want To Be My Whole Self

This article is part of my ongoing series on Soul Awakening.

When your lower-self (your personality [body, emotions, and mind]) merges with your higher-self (your Soul which is the essential part of you into which your Divine Spark is embedded) you become empowered by your whole-self.

In your natural life journey, there is a development process that goes on throughout your life between your lower-self (personality) and your higher-self (Soul.)

This developmental process occurs naturally but for you may be unconscious. When you invite the integrative process of your Soul to merge with your personality, you bring into your consciousness a greater awareness and empowerment of your life’s purpose.

Most likely, inviting your Soul to be an active player in your life is not something you learned to do in Sunday School. After countless hours in churches and listening to countless hours of homilies and sermons I can say the Soul is rarely mentioned. Even the Bible does not specifically teach you how to activate and engage with your Soul.

Although throughout your life, your Soul may have opened to you its presence, your conscious awareness of your Soul may have well been hit or miss. You may have felt your Soul most present in times of heart-wrenching sorrow when a loved one has died. And, that pain and compassion may have driven you to your knees and opened your mind and heart to the Presence of your Soul, although it’s doubtful that you were consciously aware that your Soul was the comforter.

I believe your Soul may have given you insight through your intuition that may have saved you or a friend from harm’s way.

I believe that your Soul is willing to step in at times of crisis as an act of Love or Grace, but to really provide the power and majesty of which it is capable it requires a relationship.

Most likely you have been raised from infancy to focus on your five material senses as the way you experience the world. Any insights you may have experienced beyond the reality of those physical senses is usually discouraged by parents, adults and those who are not seeing or feeling what you might be experiencing. This limitation is factual across most cultures and is especially true in the Western world.

This emphasis on the physical and material world has led to a long span of evolution that denies awareness of the spiritual realm. This tendency has limited the education and knowledge of the Soul to mystics such as Hafiz, King David (in the Psalms) or Osho. Without this spiritual education, you are left with a part of you that is missing.

You may have unconsciously longed for contact from and connection with your Soul, while steadfastly ignoring or denying the reality of anything spiritual. You may have turned to religion to find out about your Soul, but religion, unfortunately, is currently usually not the source for learning how to develop a relationship with your Soul.

The core belief of these spiritual writings of King David, Hafiz, Osho, and other spiritual writers you might cherish is that within every human heart is the longing for connection and relationship with your Soul.

No matter which religions or religious beliefs each of these inspired writers serve, their words call to you because the Soul, your Soul, is calling to be part of you through their wise words.

How To Be Whole

If you listen to the yearning of your heart, you will find a longing to love and be loved. Your Soul is the portal of Divine Love. When you bring your Soul into active relationship with your personality, body, emotions, and mind, you start a process of integration that brings joy and wisdom to your life. This Soul integration with your personality makes you whole.

The Soul is universal and beyond any dogma or religion. Connecting with your Soul, and engaging in the process of merging your Soul with your lower-self “personality” is also beyond any dogma or doctrine. It is universal and the next step in the spiritual journey of humanity.

Almost everybody agrees that you have a Soul. When touched, that awareness opens you to the true nature of the Divine and the unifying principle of Love that transcends religious bigotry or dogma disagreements.

When you consciously open your life to increased Soul awareness and Soul control, you are engaging in what I have referred to as Soul/Personality merging. Something I have called “The Greatest Merger and Acquisition Project Ever.” This is when you can live a full life that is Soul infused.

Advantages of Connecting With Your Soul

Connecting with your Soul connects you with your internal source for Divine Wisdom and Divine Guidance. Your Soul is the teacher that always knows and understands what you need at every phase and step of your life. Your Soul as your teacher and guide aligns you with the Divine, however, you understand the Divine to be.

PHYSICALLY

To bring your Soul Light into your physical body facilitates healing on many levels. For some, it is resolution and relief of pain. It can also manifest as a sense of deep and profound relaxation. When aligned with your Soul, it might be that you realize that your breath is more accessible, more profound and each breath you breathe is more fulfilling.

EMOTIONALLY

To bring your Soul Light into your emotional body frees you to forgive, let go of deep and troubling resentments. It fills you with a profound peace and calm that releases closely held negative emotions, such as fear and anger. As your emotional body fills with Soul Light, there is also an activation of Love, deep in your heart. That Love brings you awareness of unconditional love and Divine Love.

MENTALLY

Inviting your Soul Light into your mind opens you to insight and ignites your intuition. It also activates more creative thinking and has a dynamic impact on problem-solving in your life.

It is because of all of these powerful advantages that with every guided meditation that I create I invite you into the meditative state by asking you to “Calm Your Mind,” “Open Your Heart,” and “Invite the Light of your Soul.”

Your “personality” is the integrator of those three significant energies of the human experience. When you consciously and with an intention (supported by meditation) affirm these embedded suggestions you are taking a significant step forward in your human evolution experience.

You are embarking on an adventure to become a new kind of human being, a human being who is aware of and in touch with their Divine Spark and their co-creatorship with God. When your lower-self merges with your higher-self you become empowered by your whole-self.

This awareness begins a quest not only to live life but live it more fully. The adventures on this quest may bring you in touch with much that is unknown to you as you start down this path. That is true of any great quest or adventure. There is much your Soul knows and wishes to teach you about your true nature that is beyond the current knowledge of humans at this time.

Merging your personality with your Soul opens your life to new possibilities. It is a magnificent adventure upon which humanity is only now embarking. You can be the explorer of this merged awareness.

I invite you to join me in this exploration into the full power of what it means to be a human being, a being that is a part animal man but is also a creative living evolving spark of the Divine. I invite you to Be and Become All You Are Meant to Be.

You Need to Know What Happens When You
Let Your Soul Be In Control

This article is a continuation of my ongoing series on Soul Awakening.

Many of the solutions to life’s challenges are simple. That does not make them easy.

Free Will is an essential part of the human experience.

I believe the personality, the “lower self,” must make the conscious choice to surrender to Divine Will, the “higher self” or Soul. Without that conscious choice, the choice to choose Love, the choice to put your Soul in control cannot give you the full power of your Soul.

It is with your decision to bring your Soul into a conscious partnership that you are empowered to work with the Angels and activate spirit to elevate the world of matter, that real enlightenment can happen.

By the very word, enlightenment requires bringing Light into the substance of matter. This is the destiny of humanity.

The merging of your Soul, with your completely human body, emotions, personality, and mind is what I have called the “Greatest Merger and Acquisition” ever.

It was to fulfill this blending of spirit and matter, light and dark; personal will surrendered to Divine Will that the Creator designed the human adventure. Something magical and mystical happens when Love (the nature of your Soul) is infused into matter (the substance of the world.)

It was to bring Divine Love into manifestation into the world of matter that the struggle of life exists.

Matter, by its very nature, is devoid of Love. Only through humanity learning to Love and surrendering to Divine Love can in this dual consciousness of Soul and Personality can the denseness of matter be infused by Love, can the denseness of matter be inspired by Soul Light.

This is the fuel of miracles and the purpose of life. Not just to learn how to Love, but to let Love so thoroughly into your life that the very atomic matter of your being, your heart, merges with your mind into your Soul, whose nature is Love. Ponder on this.

Learning To Love

Your human adventure offers you the opportunity to learn and grow until Love is clearly the answer. Surrendering to Love is your path to joy. When surrendering to Love becomes your personal Free Will you automatically align with Divine Will.

Today, I invite you to choose Divine Love. By making that choice, you have activated your free will on a path that aligns you with the teachings and wisdom of your Soul. When you choose Divine Love, you are allowing your personality access to transforming power.

When you choose Divine Love, you become an agent of Divine Will here on planet earth.

I understand, although simple, it is far from easy to surrender to Divine Love and Divine Will. But don’t worry, the resistance you have to this kind of surrender is what makes you human.

Each and every time you are able to remain open to Divine Love and aligned with and surrendered to Divine Will you are taking a giant step forward in human evolution.

The fact that you are reading this article today speaks volumes to your openness to making a difference in your life.

The longing you have to be able to remain in a state of Love and aligned with Divine Will speaks to the presence of your Soul. The nature of your Soul is Love. It is with Love you can open to the wonder and wisdom of your Soul.

This walk in life with a human body, buffeted with needs and desires is a new kind of human being, a new kind of consciousness that is just emerging in the human experience. To let your Soul be in control, while still walking in the world of sorrows is a whole new kind of experience in human life.

When you walk through life as the powerful and amazing being that you indeed are, you are thinning the veil between heaven and earth. You are demonstrating the consciousness of Love.

Meditation is a portal to the awareness of your Soul.

Bringing Your Soul Into Control

The integration of your Soul with your personality is the result of lifetimes of lessons of love and karma. The release of personal will to Divine Will is a lesson learned long ago by the Angels.

Coming from a Soul perspective shifts awareness of the illusions, glamor’s and desires of the world of matter to bring an understanding of what is true and real.

Each and every time you put your Soul in control you are fulfilling your destiny as the spark of Divine Light that you were created to be.

When you put your Soul in control, you automatically align with Love. You activate your co-creator potential that came from the Creator with the breath of life.

Your whole perspective changes when you are integrating your Soul with your personality. Harmlessness becomes effortless.

Kindness and compassion flow from your heart as you are moved by the sorrow and suffering of others. You are aware of a unity of Spirit that makes clear your Oneness with all of Life.

Humanities next significant step forward is to master this dual perspective, this dual consciousness, and then bring it into the world.

To merge with your Soul, to restrain any selfishness you may be tempted by, is a significant step forward in the consciousness of humanity. It is the evolution of a new kind of human being. One who is in relationship and communion with the Divine.

Imagine, for a moment if you will, just how this world would be different if your Soul were in control. Imagine if government and society were to follow the Law of Divine Love. Imagine if the guidelines for the laws were crafted and passed with the principle of the Highest Good For All.

That would undoubtedly usher in a “Heaven on Earth.” That would fulfill the prophecies of old of Peace on Earth, a time when the Lion could lie down with the Lamb. These predictions and dreams have fueled all world religions because they are the plan in the mind of the Creator that humanity was created to fulfill.

It takes only a moment of both self-awareness and life awareness to see how far humanity is from manifesting that vision that has been foretold. Yet, it is by learning to Love, by bringing your Soul into control and by merging your personal will into Divine Will that the best chance for humanity manifests.

To help you on this path I have created an affirmation that you can say as often as you like.

Love & Light Are My Lanterns Affirmation

Today, I call upon my Guardian Angels, my Spiritual Inner Plane Guides, to provide help and assistance in my life that I may fulfill my life destiny and purpose to manifest God’s Will for my highest good and the highest good of all.

I surrender to and invoke the wisdom of my Soul as I place my Soul in control.

I do this to learn the lessons of Divine Love and to teach others the transforming empowerment of love and light.

As I sacrifice my little will and align my life and purpose with Divine Will, I assert and affirm that: “Purpose Itself Am I.”

To manifest this awareness in my physical reality, it is necessary to allow: “Two Minds to Unite.”

And to let “The Highest Light Control.”

To do this, I must “See the Greatest Light.”

This blending of my Soul with my lower self occurs as a simultaneous act of invocation and evocation. In so doing I open my life to the fulfillment and furtherance of a plan that is held in the mind of God.

I acknowledge that the Saints, the Hierarchy and those who have served humanity to bring about the manifestation of this Divine Plan will guide and direct me as I put aside my personal lower will.

As I remain aligned and open to Divine Will, I realize that my joy, my bliss, and my fulfillment are found in that merger.

Each and every time that I am able to restrain my personal needs and desires, I am learning to Love, and I am strengthened and supported by resources more amazing and vast than I can imagine.

Love & Light are my lanterns. Through Divine Love, I can align in full faith and confidence knowing that Divine Will has the Divine Wisdom of a purpose and plan that is beyond what I can see from the vision of my individuated lower self. As I merge with that Divine Will and Wisdom, I relax and release all of the needs that have burdened my life.

Through my open connection to my Soul, the heavenly hosts are available to provide the healing that those I encounter in my life so desperately need.

Through my merger with Divine Will for the Highest Good of All, I am assured that I will do no harm through the unintended consequences of my personal ego or desire nature.

I walk this path of dual consciousness and awareness with vigilance, and thus I stand. I am a point of light within a greater light, and thus I stand. I am a strand of loving energy within the stream of cosmic love, and thus I stand. And standing thus enlightens the way for others.

What Your Soul Can Do For You Today

This article is part of my ongoing series on Soul Awakening.

Your Soul, also often referred to as your Higher Self, is an integral part of who you are and what you are.

You probably believe you have a Soul, yet, your Soul is probably something which you give very little or no thought or attention.

Perhaps, as a child, you said a nighttime prayer as you memorized the words of a famous children’s prayer “Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep.”

But now, as an adult, the concept of having a Soul may not cross your mind.

If you are a participant of A.A. (Alcoholics Anonymous) or N.A. (Narcotics Anonymous), you may have wondered about step 2 of turning your life over to a Higher Power.

You may even have relegated the concept of your Soul to only matter as the eternal part of you that only matters when you die. Then you may imagine your Soul may go to heaven, or return to God.

Welcome To The Beauty Of Your Soul

Today, I would like to make you aware of your Soul as a dynamic, active and vital part of your life. A part of your life that can make you more healthy, joyful, and empowered.

I would like to introduce you to your Soul, not as something you tuck away to call upon as your life is fading away. I would like to introduce you to your Soul as a source of wisdom, a portal to divine energy that can impact and influence every day of your life starting today.

I would like to bring you into awareness of a tool that can help you every day in your life. I would like to introduce you to your Higher Self and encourage you to begin a lifelong adventure of integration and awareness that will change your life for the better, that will ultimately awaken your life.

Your Soul is more than simply the part of you that is eternal and therefore grants you access to eternal life when your material body fails and fades.

Your Soul is designed to be an active part of the wholeness of your being. It exists to be a resource engaged in your life adventure, a companion on the quest for love, for success and happiness.

Empowerment

The reason that A.A. and N.A. teach that it is important to turn your life over to a Higher Power is that by so doing you are empowered. You are empowered by the part of you that has always been there, and will always be there to help and support you, your own Soul. You just need to awaken it.

Your Soul is not separate from God; however, you define God to be, because your Soul is the spark of Divine Light that was granted to you as you became an individuated life.

It is the part of your anatomy that maintains a connection that is eternal. No matter what you do. No matter how many mistakes you make. No matter if you stumble or fall, that connection cannot be severed.

Your Soul, like God, always works for good. It has the power to heal you once you have learned whatever life lessons dis-ease may have entered your life to teach you. From the perspective of eternity and the Divine, your life experience is designed to teach and empower you to reach higher states of consciousness.

Major Life Lessons

The Ageless Wisdom speaks of these life lessons regarding your Soul giving you the power and strength to overcome your lower urges driven by your material nature, to greater Soul control as four major life lessons.

In each of these four major life challenges, it is your Soul that stands by to help and support you in transcending the lure or temptation of your lower (animal) self.

These four major life lessons can be broken down into:

Overcome the Desires of the Flesh – the physical part of your nature. Among these are the needs and urges that are sometimes called the seven deadly sins. They include Lust, Gluttony, Avarice or Greed, Sloth or Laziness, Wrath, Envy or Pride. I would like to re-frame these seven human challenges as the issues you are faced with in life.

Although these are sometimes called sins, I consider that they are simply the result of selfish and self-centered identification. They are tendencies and mistakes that you make when you see yourself as separate from others and separate from God.

Managing Emotions – Inherent in life lessons are also learning to manage emotions by learning to transmute, transform and transcend fear, anger, jealousy, and Ego.
Mastering the Thoughts of Your Mind – Overcoming worries, fears, negative self-talk and limiting beliefs.
Surrendering to Your Spiritual Nature – Using your Soul to integrate and master your physical, emotional and mental full lower natures (ego.)

Because these are the urges and desires of your physical and emotional nature, your Soul is ready, willing and able to help you gain mastery over these aspects of life so you can learn what it is to express Love.

The Nature of Your Soul is Love

Learning to Love is what your life adventure is about. If you break down the seven deadly sins, they can all be summarized as not expressing the highest form of Love.

As learning how to Love is the business of life, so teaching you how to Love and opening you to Love is the business of the Soul in your life.

Your Soul is available to help you transmute, transform and transcend any and all aspects of your lower-self that keep you separated from the highest forms of love. Among these lower-aspects are addictions to alcohol, food, sex, cigarettes or drugs. The power of your Soul to empower you to conquer these urges is why all of the Anonymous programs encourage step 2 in the A.A. model.

Connecting with your Soul and surrendering your addiction to the healing power of your Soul gives you the strength and ability to conquer physical desires and cravings.

Likewise, being guided by your Soul frees you from the emotional attachments of desire that led the Buddha to acknowledge that life was suffering and that attachment was the cause of the suffering. Attachment is not love, although it can easily get confused with Love.

Love is life’s greatest gift. Love is life’s greatest blessing. Love is eternal. It is perhaps the one thing we can create as material beings that open us to our eternal and Divine nature.

Your Soul can guide you to learning to Love, not the “sticky and needy” love of attachment, but rather the freeing and inspiring Love of the Spirit. It is that which is eternal, empowering and life transforming.

Your Soul is a resource to empower you to be all that you can be. Through Soul Awakening, you are open to who you truly are as a “child of God” who is also the “Son of Man (Human).” It is your Soul that keeps you connected with God, and with the whole heavenly realm of angelic beings. It is your Soul that is your internal and external source of truth and wisdom.

Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.

By activating and engaging in a conscious awakening of your Soul, you activate peace, love, and joy in your life. By surrendering to the wisdom of your Soul in times of trouble and confusion, temptation or terror, you are opening to living life abundantly.

I leave you today with a little Mantram of Unification I have adapted that you may find helpful to affirm out loud daily:

I let my Soul control my outer form in my life and all events so it may bring to Light the Love that underlies the happenings of time.

Let wisdom come with insight. Let the future stand revealed. Let inner wisdom demonstrate and any outer illusions be gone. Let Love prevail in my life.

Pray For My Country

Across the planet in every country we, the people and citizens are noticing that the winds of change are blowing.

More than any time in my life or recollection it seems to be a time that the people are being called upon to make a stand, a stand that will determine and influence the direction and life of your county, and by extension, the world.

Recently in my meditation I created a prayer for the people to invite and invoke the help and support of the Creator, however, you envision the Divine force in life.

By whatever name you call upon the Divine force, it is working through humanity on a plan that was created concurrently with the creation of the first man and the first woman on the planet.

Creation is an ongoing process that fuels the evolution of consciousness in ways beyond our comprehension and understanding.

As you say this prayer feel free to change it in a way that reflects the wisdom and yearning of your Soul.

Your prayer, your intention, your invitation, and invocation attract to your place in the world the help you see needed in the dynamic co-creation of humanity and the Creator.

As you say this prayer you are joining with the prayers of citizens around the world to make this world a better place. Join your heart, mind, and Soul with the men and woman of Goodwill all across the planet as all seek to make this world a better place.

Prayer For My Country

Divine Creator,

Our troubled world needs help. With faith and hope, we turn to You to guide the happenings of these times.

We pray for Peace, that every man, woman, and child can be safe.

Guide the leaders of our country to turn away from the conflicts that separate us from others. Inspire them to find the ways to unity and cooperation with other lands and governments.

We pray that those who make the laws that govern us are moved by compassion and consider their decisions in keeping with their understanding of what fosters Right Relationships.

We ask that how Love is best served be woven into the laws of our land and Harmlessness is considered in all regulations to serve all with equality and justice.

The morality of our country is embedded in every law, help our legislators to consider the moral implications of the decisions they make.

Please protect our leaders from the evil of greed and selfishness that they may find the moral strength and courage to do the right thing for the highest good of all.

Our leaders and our legislators are tempted by evil every day. We pray for them to find the strength in their hearts and minds to stand firm against those temptations to do what they know to be the right thing for the people they represent and govern.

Help the people to find the strength and courage to stand up for what they believe and know to be Right Action.

We seem to be at a time in the human story when it is more important than ever to make a stand for what we believe. It may not be easy to stand in Your truth and in Your power so we ask that You empower us with Your guidance and strength.

Protect the poor and disenfranchised from the tyranny of oppression that every life may be granted the freedom and opportunity to fulfill its Divine purpose.

We know deep down that every life, every Soul, has a purpose. Let education and employment fuel the engines of our success; so that creativity and Divine Inspiration can benefit all of humanity.

Inspire our leaders with wisdom so that solutions to the problems of the day can be found and grant them the courage to stand up for those who cannot stand for themselves.

It is not always easy to do the right thing, to stand up for those who cannot stand up for themselves. Courage and strength are needed by those who strive to do the right thing. I ask that these men and woman of good will be provided the Divine blessings to strengthen and fortify their efforts of service.

In all that we pray we surrender to the wisdom of Divine Will that this world may manifest Your Purpose and Your Plan for all of humanity. Let me stand as a vessel of your Divine Love.

For these blessings we give thanks.

And it is So.
